How will they be able to do that with the sailors back in British hands? I'd expect the sailors to report how they were coerced into admissions of guilt when they get back, even if the British government does not say as much.
At least that's what they were teaching when I went through aircrew survival training.
Long live Dieter Dengler !! If you're not familiar with the man, look him up, he was old school, POW in Viet nam and never broke, though he should have, to save himself a lot of needless wear and tear.
