Here we are in the 21st century and these barbaric practices are still popular.
In South Texas, pit bulls are everywhere. You see young men walking massive pit bulls with thick heavy chain around their necks. The chain serves to strengthen the dogs neck for fighting. It is very common for small dogs/cats to disappear here. They are used to train the dogs to kill. Businesses here openly cater to the savage industry.
The same is true of cock fighting. When you drive in the country, you will come across cock farms: huge fields with roosters chain in front of a small tent like covering. Again, local businesses cater to these people.
The viscious act of bull fighting continues, though thankfully not in the USA. The bull is tortured and tormented as he dies slowly and painfully. All for the glory of some macho peacock strutting around in front of the crowd.
Why doesn't the US crack down on these vilent and abusive acts?

Because in Bushs eyes its not important. Its the same here. My town is full of a bunch of imbred morons.

I saw her standin' on her front lawn just twirlin' her baton
Me and her went for a ride sir and ten innocent people died
From the town of Lincoln Nebraska with a sawed-off .410 on my lap
Through to the badlands of Wyoming I killed everything in my path
I can't say that I'm sorry for the things that we done
At least for a little while sir me and her we had us some fun
The jury brought in a guilty verdict and the judge he sentenced me to death
Midnight in a prison storeroom with leather straps across my chest
Sheriff when the man pulls that switch sir and snaps my poor neck back
You make sure my pretty baby is sittin' right there on my lap
They declared me unfit to live said into that great void my soul'd
be hurled
They wanted to know why I did what I did
Well sir I guess there's just a meanness in this world

Believe it or not, other countries in the world are actually sovereign nations. This means that they get to make their own laws, regardless of what the US might think of these laws. They are allowed to have their own cultures, customs and religions.
I don't approve of bull-fighting, but I don't approve of the electric chair either. Should Scotland or any other country have the right to 'crack down on these violent and abusive acts' in the US?

Someone needs to just blow up south eastern Kentucky so these idiots don't reproduce and spread. (kinda like cutting off a finger to save a hand)

As an owner of a pit-bull who by way rides in my truck when I'm on the road, I take offense to be classified as one of those idiots who fight their dogs. Granted my dog has gotten into fights with other dogs because the lame brain owner of the other dog couldn't control his animal. My dog rides with me and is a deterrent to someone breaking in my truck and stealing something out of it. I travel all over the U.S. and some of the places I go to, I am happy to have "Rocky" ride with me. All pit-bulls are not vicious. Looka t the show "The little Rascals" that was a pit-bull with the ring painted around his eye.

This is a stretch. National politics very seldom affects how people view animals. Name a single "law" that is not "local" to the state or community that affects animals.
Notice I am not attacking.
I really didn't know you are my favorite preachers daughter. Sorry if I offended you or insulted you.
