Who would you rather bang: Cindy McCain or Sarah Palin?
Naw, just kidding.
OK, everyone has an opinion who is going to win or who should win. This contest is about calling the count of the electoral college. It takes 270 to win. You can google an electoral map so you can see how many electoral votes each state has. This is what determines the winner and not the popular vote.
Please post your count on this thread.
obama 286 mccain 252, which is interesting as that was the opposite of last election(when you minus minns. faithless elector) the way i got there was dems have 4 pickups- iowa, new mexico, colorado, and virginia. this is a hard one to predict as even with a few more weeks mccain could slip even more and lose somewhere like flordia, missouri,NC or ohio..(with nevada prob. being 1st to slip) and be way off. but i dont think hes that bad..yet

and obama has it if its a tie. you could say obama wins iowa, newmexico and colorado, and mccain wins the only one he has a remote chance of stealing.. new hampshire, that makes 269-269. then obama wins with something like 28-21.

179 McCain
_________
Obama will take W. Virginia by a narrow margin, along with Virginia and North Carolina. Obama will definitely take Ohio and Florida, Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico.
I'm adding in one electoral vote from Nebraska. I think Obama will win Omaha and take some "in case of a tie" insurance from the stalwartly red state.
Bottom line: Obama in a freaking landslide.

More bad news to McCain this morning with the Alaskan eethics probe which says Palin abused her power. I guess she abused it in a "maverick" sort of way which makes it OK.

Obama 312, McCain 216
I am also predicting that Cindy McCain and Sarah Palin's hemlines will shorten as the election nears.
