No way will Congress ever let it happen as we pay much more in taxes then is spent in our state. Our tax base is needed to finance the endless wars.

But it will frame a discussion. Middle America loves to hate the west coast. We're weirdos, radicals, and freeloaders (despite the reality stated above). So then, let us go!

And Oregon and Washington too. Ecotopia!

Unfortunately we haven't managed to abolish the death penalty so we don't quite qualify for EU membership.

Some heavy players are talking about a campaign.

It would help him with reelection.

The West Coast has been at the Navy's mercy since Fremont. California has never been in the Union voluntarily.

It can't be allowed. This country could not exist if every time there was an election a state didn't like the outcome of then they left the union. It is a bunch of silly commies with their panties in a bunch and vaginitus on top of that.

JB: This country could not exist if every time there was an election a state didn't like the outcome of then they left the union.

Funny there is a rather large group of Confederate sympathizers on this site who strongly disagree with you.

Exactly! Why if one state were to leave then others would want to leave as well. Next thing you know there would be a mass exodus from the Federal beast, something collectivists have nightmares about.

He was elected Governor before hippies were a thing really. And we tried to warn the rest of the country about him. But he was elected anyway.

You kids should be supporting the Article V amendment for the powers of the Federal government to be restricted and the powers of the states to be enhanced.

Why is it that we force conservative states to embrace socialist policies and we force socialists to embrace the GOP and Trump and their policies? Why can't we let the people of each state decide their destiny?

States used to be able to run their own affairs, before the era of Progressivism
