Cambridge Officials Put a Stop to Boy Scout Drive to Aid Troops in Iraq

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,311908,00.html

Who is being "political" here the Boy Scouts, Cambridge officials, both,
or neither? To me it seems like the Cambridge officials are turning the
actions of support for the troups into actions against the war, and the
Boy Scout actions are just in support of the troups without a stance
one way or another.

Agree or disagree with the war, the people caught up fighting on both sides would really appreciate any support they can get.

My question isn't about if we agree with the war or not, but who in
this has taken a political stance with regard to supporting the troups?

The problem is putting the collection sites at poll stations during an election was construed by some one as being a political statement, and he complained about it. Voting sites should indeed be kept absolutely free of any possible bias. In a way I see his point, but I'd also like to tell him what a big crybaby doosh he was for bringing it up.

Yeah, I was just making a general point that it's a bit crap if people are letting politics stop people from being good to each other, it shouldn't be influenced by the opinion about whether or not the war is just.
From the look of it I don't think anyone was trying to be political, except maybe the person who reported the boxes. The officials may be trying to be apolitical and acted the way they did due to the breakdown in comms. The guy who reported the boxes may well have lied about the people providing them to get them removed.

Voting stations only highlights this question it does not answer it!

Who made it political?

1 Cambridge officials only
2 Boy Scouts only
3 Both Cambridge officials and the Boy Scouts
4 No one is making this political
5 Kelly is by trying to get people to talk about it only 🙂
