Why not? Just pull a charge out of the air, like the opinions of his having committed war crimes in Iraq.
That is what she did to Trump. Why can she not have the same POWER to pick anyone to do anything to on a whim? And can a DC prosecutor bring a charge against Schumer who threatened the Supreme Court justices ////"You will Pay the Price!!!", at what I am sure was an insurrection on the scotus steps?
It would be a discussion to really clear the air. Neither of those two people were charged, nor was Trump, with a crime. Why go after just Trump, who has not been charged or convicted? I know you fellers have discussed, but there is no seminal finding amongst you, or the law, that he commited insurrection. So, yeah, Jack Smith is really pitiful, but the issue is why not other prosecutors going after anyone that they don't like with any drummed-up charges???
As an aside, if SCOTUS rules in favor of Smith, will prosecutors be able to do this all the time?....to anybody?

Yammwr on, my man, yammer on.
This one's not listening.
@averagejoe1 saidI don't think it is an opinion that Bush committed war crimes. He is a war criminal. I think I can prove it. It is not insurrection though, so you cannot use the insurrection clause.

Presidents can murder people and they usually do. Trump himself murdered Soleimani with impunity. Bush is guilty of mass murder, but we call that war so he can get away with it. He lied about WMDs, but Alex Jones was held more accountable for spreading misinformation about Sandy Hook.
American war criminals are above the law. Good luck punishing them for their war crimes. It is the people that expose war crimes that get punished. That is why Assange has been in prison for years despite not have been convicted. Assange never killed anybody. His crime was outing the people who did.
Presidents can lie to start wars. Bush did it. Biden and Zelensky tried to start WW3 and nobody cares. You would think a brush with nuclear armageddon would make people care, but most people don't.
I am all for the cause, but what legal method would you use to get Bush prosecuted?
@metal-brain saidWhy not the one the sec of state and Jack Smith, and the Colorado court are using???

Mu issue is not George Bush per se, but rather the rogue people and court, who, if they prevail, will create a new world indeed. IF we get in, we can go after Schumer and throw him in jail.
You see, you say Bush committed a war crime. I say he did not. Opinions. So, the court in CO and the sec of state have decided on their own, opinions with any legal basis, to give him hell.
So, when they win, a new world will open up. I will get a sec of state to go after Marauder for promoting Marxism.
@averagejoe1 saidSo much for the party of law and order, yeah?

You guys don't believe in anything anymore, except Trump.
You hate the Constitution, you love Trump.
Like MB, you constantly grab the wrong end of the stick.
@suzianne saidSo is She answer to this thread that they can, tthey should, they cannot, and they shouldn’t.

?I am not quite getting your answer to this thread about the possibility that anyone in office can willy-nilly have an opinion about someone and act on it.

What are they using? War crimes and insurrection are not the same thing.
@metal-brain saidI am speaking of an infraction of any nature, you have helped my point. Thankyou. You fellers are really clueless.

AVJOE DEF LIST: An infraction: committing a war crime.
An infraction: Committing an insurrection
Has She Suzianne and Marauder been tutoring you libs on the finer points of debating with logical debaters?
Lord, I am going to have a hard time typing She Suzianne, but out of respect, will follow through.
@averagejoe1 saidThat is addressed by impeachment, not the insurrection clause.

@metal-brain saidWhatever it is addressed by, the issue is crimes. Both are crimes. Both are addressed in appropriate ways.

In this case, we have rogues going will nilly. Jack Smith, as well as the Court, have decided independently that Trump committed a crime. See the news. He is not charged with same. Whew.
So, my point, what is to stop govt (officers) from filing this crap any time that they don't like somebody's actions? Label it a crime, and prosecute. MB, you are blinded by these one-track libs, with your president sonhouse. You see, when we take over, we will run Schumer et al into jail!!! Like, Right!!!
You will scream Hey, Wait a MINUTE!
@AverageJoe1
By the logic of you wimpy libs, we can easily consider Fauci to be a serial killer.
@AverageJoe1
When I saw this article I thought of you. Enjoy.
