This is like you arguing that repairing one of two holes in a boat is justified because the Trumpers didn't repair the other hole in the boat. Then you go fishing and expect the boat not to sink. Then when it sinks, you blame the republicans that didn't fix the other hole in the boat.
But you don't want to blame the republicans for allowing the boat to sink. You want to blame the water. The hole the Trumpers left open doesn't matter. The water is to blame. If not for that water the boat would never have sunk.
