Interesting reading. A summary here laying out the cases for and against impeachment of President Trump. This isn't going to move the political needle either way of course, but if you'd like to see the official arguments on both sides, this might be worth a look.
JMHO - I'm not a legal scholar, but it looks like the Senate Republicans are going to have a difficult time defending Donald Trump's actions.

@sleepyguy saidWhat was Hunter up to? Hells bells, Ukrainian corporations call me up all the time offering me $16 million to be a consultant for no apparent reason and when I take those jobs my daddy makes sure that any Ukrainian prosecutors looking into corruption are fired on the spot.
Piece of cake.
Just what WAS Hunter Biden up to? WHAT ABOUT that?
OK let's vote.
Next!
So it's time to put away your tin foil hat you right wing loon you.
Besides, CNN assures me there is nothing to the story.
@sleepyguy saidMaking bank off his daddy's name. End of story.

Nothing to do with Trump's rampant corruption, I'm afraid.
@kazetnagorra saidAnd what would have happened to Ukrainian aid had they not hired Hunter I wonder?

No, I'm sure it had nothing to do with the Ukraine feeling pressured to pay his idiot son who goes around the world having children with strippers as a means to extract help from Biden.
@kazetnagorra saidYou're all going to be so disappointed. The GOP will stick together. Trump will survive the coup and be reelected with a mandate.

@mchill saidHere is the case against impeachment from the law professor the news media ignored. He is basically saying what I have been saying all along, it would set a dangerous precedent. Like him, I didn't vote for Trump.

@sleepyguy saidThat scenario hardly affects me and significantly hurts you.

Just as much part of the argument as Hunter bloody Bidon.
@sleepyguy saidImagine there's a guy on the street rolling around in pig faeces and screaming "haha! you can't stop me!"
Yeah OK.
This is how you look to the world's intellectuals by gloating about the prospect of the rapid acceleration of America's decline towards a full-blown banana republic.

@shavixmir saidso you want to ignore the reason trump was doing his constitutional duty? The dope is ruining your brain.

@kazetnagorra saidRight. As though the United States is completely independent of the rest of the world and that the US' "decline" (not that I'm conceding any such thing is happening or imminent) will have zero impact in you over there in northern Europe.

Right?
@mott-the-hoople saidGetting foreign countries to interfere with US elections is a "constitutional duty" of the US President?

James Madison, George Washington and the rest of the guys at the Convention in 1787 would have been surprised to hear it.
@sh76 saidIt doesn't have "zero" impact, but neither does witnessing pig faeces dude.
