Everyone knows age comes with wisdom, your smarter now then you was a couple years ago, right?
So my point is, if we are having all these problem's with 21 year olds, with drunk driving etc. why even make it legal to younger ppl, it seems like when somone gets killed by drunk drivers, the drunk drivers are younger then 30, so why not raise it to 30? lol BTW I dont drink, (Im smarter then that 🙂 ) so I dont really care
Change the attitude and the drink driving and drunkeness will reduce by a huge amount no matter if the age is 21 or 18.
I drink. Occasionally. Only once have I overindulged and I'm in no hurry to repeat that. Is the fact that I might have a beer with dinner really that bad?

hey im in england and the drinking age is 18, thats okay, but im 16 so its hard to convince people to sell us booze, yea i like to drink quite a lot, but thats mainly because it improves the atmosphere at the football (aka soccer in america),
so basically im sayin id be happy for there to be no age restrictions and everybody to go out and get pissed, and yea thats partly because im an idiot lol
14 to be served alcohol in a restaurant.
16 with an adult in a bar.
18 indepently in a bar or shop.
For once I agree with Fly Unity. There is no need to leglislate on this matter. The dangers should be highlighted with in the family and at school. Alcohol is never an excuse of diminished responsibilty.
One alcohol anomily (sp) in UK licensing law is that there are four groups of people you cannot serve:
1. Under 18's
2. Those already drunk.
3. On duty policeman.
4. Soliciting prostitutes.

In the United States, the legal drinking age is 21. Do you think it should be changed?

I would like to see the drinking age lowered, but I know that could be a bad thing. First though, consider this. In many European countries, kids grow up drinking alcohol with family at mealtimes and on periods of celebration. Now I know that ...[text shortened]... only shows you 99% of the time, teens who were careless in their actions.
What do you think?
