As humans we feel a we have a duty to save all of us from death, even those who would not otherwise survive on their own (e.g. people with mental and physical disabilities, babies born early, etc).
Animals will kill their young or leave them to die if they have to a couple of examples would be a bitch sitting on and smothering a pup in her litter that was missing its front legs (the one from Oprah), and animals such as bison abandoning their young if they don't stand up and walk within a short time of being born.
My question is, should we save all the weak in our race from death, if it means diluting our genes so that incidences of future disabilities would increase because these debilitated people survive and have children. Personally, and I know it sounds Hitler esk, I think we should take a tougher stance against those who cannot survive without major help, which could help future generations.
