cannabis should be legalised, and taxed. It should be treated like tobacco.

However, cocaine is not cannabis. Some people here think that the mexicans are only trafficking weed, which isn't true.

You must be joking. Heroin is pretty unpopular in Holland. I think you're mistaking Amsterdam for Teheran.
I guess maybe I am mistaken as it's been quite a while since I visited Europe. So, besides marijuana, what is the hardest drug that is legal in Holland or any other EU country?

Oh I see. I guess they produce it pretty inefficiently then, since illegal weed is a lot cheaper here. (roughly $200 per ounce)
Wow!! I remember when an ounce of good weed went for $40.00...back in the early 80s.

Wow, you are such a conspiracy theorist. The CIA would never do anything illegal such as running drugs.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says the US must take part of the blame for drug-related violence in Mexico.

Speaking as she arrived in Mexico, she said the US's appetite for drugs and its inability to stop arms crossing the border were helping fuel the violence.

Her two-day visit c ...[text shortened]... aid: "Our insatiable demand for illegal drugs fuels the drug trade".

Any opinions on this?
Clinton is correct. Mexico, though not completley blameless, is just supplying a need. Just like proabition in the 1920's.😏

GRANNY.
I doubt that's the whole story, I'm pretty sure you could make weed for $10 per ounce on large-scale farms.

The government thinks it's a good idea to devote police resources to busting illegal weed plantations.

which is a shame.

I wonder what they do with the pot after they bust the plantations, if I was a cop I'd just take it all home and have it.
