Question: Why would Hamas every want to restore "normality" in Gaza -- in other words, go back to the inept inaction that Fatah has presided over for the last umpteen years? Better to move forward...

If you call loosing funding from all over the world and even Egypt moving their embassy to the West Bank, moving forward, then you're right, they shouldn't talk to Fatah.
