@earl-of-trumps saidMilitary people around Kim wear masks so they can smirk at his hair cut without being executed.
Isn't that the rule of thumb?
In recent photos of little Kim, he is surrounded by military-type people and they all have masks on. Not Kim.
Always at the top. Arrogant, greedy people that do NOT think the rules apply to them. And wasn't Clinton the same way - keeping an illegal mail server in the bathroom closet of her mansion? She expected to get away with and DID.
That's the arrogance of the powerful.
@Duchess64
When he explained why he didn't wear a mask when asked by reporters, his answer was meant for an audience of ONE. 3 guesses who that would be and the first two don't count.
@earl-of-trumps saidI love the idea that he had to be talked into it, SNL has got work to do if they want to satirise the new reality.
I agree "sarcastic" does not sell well but it sold better than the alternative.
I'm sure his handlers talked him into the "sarcastic" defense.
@earl-of-trumps saidI think the alternative would have shocked People: "Ok I was wrong. Lets go ahead" would have increased his numbers (of which he is acutely aware) would have risen by a few Points.

@earl-of-trumps saidHis handlers sure have their hands full. Unfortunately, the alternative (to the "sarcasm" spin) was the real Trump, the dimwit who won't listen to and cannot understand expert advice. I don't believe for an instant that he was being sarcastic. I believe he did not comprehend what his expert had just said right there in that same press conference. The disingenuousness of his handlers, spinning every stupid thing he says in public, is wearing very thin. At some point, I hope before election day, even his most loyal supporters are going to have to face the increasingly obvious fact that he is a mental midget.

His suggestion to test disinfectants and light inside the body was moronic. There is no point in testing disinfectants inside the body; these are corrosive substances.
There is also no point in testing light inside the body. Light does not penetrate deeper than a few cells, but the virus is all over inside the body, in the blood stream etc. Even if you could get a light source inside the lungs, it would not penetrate to the cells where the virus is or repair the damaged cells.
@earl-of-trumps saidI think you've nailed the essence of this idiocy.

Though Trump likely thinks that his face is too "pretty" to be obscured by a mask. Yes, he IS that vain.
@divegeester
Do you seriously think Trump was being 'sarcastic' when he said to ingest disinfectants? I saw that clip and there was ZERO sarcasm in it. He was being his most dementia laden self. If you asked him now, he would say he never said it at all because he seriously does not remember what he said a week before.
Do you remember when he was in AF1 and asked about the payments to Stormy? I don't know, ask my lawyer. Right, he was totally unaware.
