Boy was he spot on. The amount of half-truths, lies, clever propaganda and irrational nonsense being fed to the public day after day is astounding. And t ...[text shortened]... ho read stuff like the NYT who think they're too smart for propaganda fall right into it face first.
This all easier said than done. Human beings, sadly, are attracted to bite-sized, fast-food versions of news and history, usually clinging to validates their biases. I'm guilty of that as well; but I'm trying to be better.
Making conscious efforts to be as free of bias and opened minded as possible, is all anyone can do.
