I hear that in the US they have a new stamp celebrating Eid, a Muslim fastival, which is proving contentious. What do you think?
( i started a thread on this subject earlier today,k someone called "seitse" came along and pronounced the thread closed, and now it has disappeared. Whats going on and who is that guy???
Originally posted by eamon oI have heard about these, they have been in the works for about ten years now. I personally have no problem with them, after all there are Christmas stamps.
come on guys, whats the word on the street?
is he some sort of political correctness enforcer or what?
I am however astonished thet the ATHEISTS are not all over this, but then again it does not have the word GOD in it.
Originally posted by eamon oPresumably the thread was pulled because you started it with a post that gratuitously disseminated some grotty hatespeech you'd scraped off a hatemongering e-mail, and you tried to seem clever by couching it as teeing up a legitimate debate about something or other. It got pulled, I reckon, because it was a nasty bit of slimey propaganda and this privately owned 13+ public web site presumably doesn't need a constant ooze of toxic little hate-peddling threads designed to intimidate and insult minorities and entire religions, members of which might play chess on this site and who might occasionally want to surf the forums.

"...an enigma wrap in a riddle, shrouded in mystery..." covered that.
So, shall we go back to ranting about the US Post licking the butt of those ugly and terrifying islamofascists?
I've heard the stamps will have some anthrax in the back, so when Americans lick it the prophecy of Osama bin Laden comes to reality.
Originally posted by SeitsePutting you, Seiste, on a US stamp would be highly contentious what with you being so flagrantly dubious and all. But speaking of "U.S. Post" and "ugly" "ranting" and "licking" the back of symbols of the American state, brings to mind how we should lobby to get elfejesus put on a U.S. stamp.
I know, I just love to hear my username again and again.
