AMI, the owner of the National Enquirer now says it worked with the campaign to kill stories “about the presidential candidate’s relationships with women” and agreed to cooperate. This is the same thing Michael Cohen said happened.
Prosecutors go on tho say: AMI has “provided substantial and important assistance” to the prosecutors in New York, the government said in its agreement. “AMI has made various personnel from AMI available for numerous interviews; engaged outside counsel to ensure the integrity of its compliance with and responses to subpoenas; and responded to numerous requests from prosecutors for various specific items of information.”
I believe the legal term for this is corroboration. SH76 and No1Marauder - Does this not strengthen the prosecutors case against Trump, now that there are 2 witnesses with the same story about what happened, and how does this square with Trump's story about these payoffs being a "civil matter"??

There is a tape of Trump and Cohen specifically discussing the MacDougal payment.https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/20/us/politics/michael-cohen-trump-tape.html
Trump repeatedly publicly lied about having "no knowledge" of such payments.
It appears that Trump's defense is down to the "stable genius" not knowing that having third parties make such payments was an illegal campaign contribution. We'll see what else comes out; this hardly looks like the end of the story - we've yet to hear from other Trump campaign officials who knew of and approved this illegal arrangement.

It's interesting that Donald Trump's memory about all this seems to have evolved over time. Oh, well as you said "we'll see"
