The Intensive Care National Audit & Research Centre (ICNARC) looked 3883 critically ill patients with Covid-19in the UK. Here's the take home advice, this virus is having a disproportionate effect on overweight males. Of the 3883 patients in ICU 72.5% were male and 73% had a BMI of 25+ of which 38% had a BMI of 30+.
If you are a 50+ male who is overweight you do not want contract this virus, if you end up on ICU your odds for survival are as good as 50/50, with the data available so far.

I would say there’s a correlation between obesity and type 2 so it would be interesting to see the figures broken doŵn between fat blokes with type 2 (like me) and fat blokes without type 2 in terms of survival rates.
