Covid in a vaccinated house

Anecdotal, absolutely. But those on the fence may want to consider this data point.

I have 6 kids, including one who is 4 weeks old. Everyone is vaxxed to the max eligible (adults boosted and children 5+ vaccinated).

We were all exposed to covid last week and I have lots of home tests and love to use them.

Here are the results:

Myself: Negative

My wife (gave birth a few weeks ago and therefore considered more at risk - https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra-precautions/pregnant-people.html): Positive test. Moderate flu symptoms for about 2-3 days and back then back to 100% less than 4 days after symptoms onset, with no treatment except ibuprofen.

17 year old: Positive test but symptoms very minor - like a very light cold. Would never have known she was "sick" had I not tested her.

14 year old: Negative

12 year old: Negative

10 year old: Negative

4 year old and infant: I haven't tested them, but neither are showing symptoms. Obviously unvaxxed, though it's very possible that the fact that we were all vaxxed made us less contagious.

Take the anecdote as you choose (and granted, it could still be incubating in me and the kids), but I've heard plenty of anti-vax anecdotes, so I figured I'd report this one for what it's worth.

From the anecdotal evidence I'd say you need to buy a television or get an outside hobby 😉
I bet it’s omicron, very transmissible and very mild symptoms.

Of course it's Omicron. Omicron is basically 100% of covid cases in the US right now.

Do you consider "anecdotal" the million (at least) dead in the US from this disease that you have minimized the danger of from the start?

Geez. WTF man?

I’m trying to get people to get vaxxed with this post.

Where the F did that come from?
