You do know that the Delta variant isn’t the newest, don’t you? We’re already up to the Lambda variant (dominant in Peru).
It’s classified as VOI (variant of interest).
The Gamma variant is the newest variation to be classified as VOC (variant of concern). It’s primarily found in Brazil.
Each variant can have seperate mutations.
Delta has some potentially important ones (such as L452R) that make it spread more easily.
Beta and Gamma also have a key mutation, called E484K, that may help the virus sidestep some of the body's immune defences. Some cases of the Alpha variant have this mutation as well.
Please stop talking about things you have absolutely no understanding of.
