I know that it's the opposite of freedom, perhaps the issue is not my understanding of socialism but rather your misunderstanding of freedom.
Socialism is freedom to suffer and live in poverty.

We’ve been over this a hundred times.
The only freedom capitalism hands is the freedom for a few to become rich. Everyone else is just a cog in the machinery.

But, as has been long eatablished, you know nothing.

Incorrect, anyone can pursue wealth.

Even something so basic you can't grasp.

Lazy bums like socialism, because they get the govt to take from the rich to feed them
Industrious hard-working people love capitalism, because it gives opens up opportunities to progress.

🙄

Sure. Stop eating mushrooms.

So the important thing is not the act of burning the flag, but what it is supposed to signify or to accomplish. If it is to incite hatred then that is where they crime begins.
I see nothing wrong with strongly objecting to - or even hating a country.
My Libertarian opinion.

Interesting that this particular fairy tale still has legs.

Especially after most of the population understands that capitalism helps the rich, not the average citizen and certainly not the poor.

Like a rent-a-car company famously said, "Not exactly."

Oh, the irony.

It is your misunderstanding of both socialism and freedom.

You can burn any flag without getting charged with anything in the US (well, maybe arson in some cases if you do it in a dangerous way). Flag burning is protected by the First Amendment.

Rajk999, let me make this simple...

It is either the case that ALL flags can be burned or NO flags can be burned. Do you agree?
Noe it is clear that is an expression of hate in most cases but that matters not, as it is not against the law to hate.

Why is it then, that the Israeli flag gets protections that no other flag gets?
Rajk999, I don't like being told I am second class.

Well, to be honest, you are American, aren’t you?

That pretty much makes you second class at best…

Well, according to Sh76 and I think Google has the same information there is no restriction on burning flags of any nation. So in that sense there is equality. There might be charges for inciting people to commit hate crimes though but thats different.

Not too sure where this second class business came from but you are second class if you tell yourself you are. Other peoples opinion about that should not matter to you. I do think of certain groups of people as second class and I do also reserve the right to hate whoever I want. Thats my right and is everyone's as well.

You ain't seen nutin when it comes to loss of freedoms if Trump is reelected.
His SCOTUS and if he gets in his POTUS power will start tearing down everything we Americans have held dear for 200+ years.
They already started with the death of Roe V Wade and now states are passing laws wanting to jail women for daring to cross state lines into a free state for abortions.
Funny how that is like the civil war times when a slave would try to get out of a slave state into a free one.
Now one state has passed laws stating abortion pills are now class one dangerous drug.
Next will be laws rescinding gay marriage, LGBTQ rights, black voting rights already losing out in some states with restrictive republican gerrymandering,
where they are saying in response to a court case where the judge ruled there was OF COURSE racial bias in that gerrymandering going on, designed to restrict black voters but SCOTUS goes, nay, no racial bias, it is ok for gerrymandering to make for one party to get advantage, so much for democracy.
