What was done before tax payers funded the scientists who weren't smart enough to eradicate the bugs, instead choosing to maintain the problem so the cheques kept coming?

Those departments have been devastated by funding cuts. Trump needs to give his billionaire buddies more money, dontcha know? This is why the screwworm is making a comeback.

We didn't pay for screwworm eradication because it helped Stan Kroenke. We should pay for it because it's a nasty bug that contaminates our food supply and not only infects livestock but also infects people and pets and wild animals. Stan Kroenke can just raise prices on beef. We all have to pay for it and eat it.
