@ponderable saidFor comparison, homicide rates per 100,000 by country:
Understanding statistics for the beginner:
A rate is a way to compare samples of different sizes. So not two of the cities have the same number of residents. A way to compare is to take the number of murders and the number of residents and make a quotient. Now you have murders per 100'000 population. regardless of the size of the city.

The top 19 features mostly countries in So. America and the Caribbean, with double-digits per 100,000. Whereas the average for the USA is far below the figures for the big cities listed by Suzianne. Unfortunately even for small towns in TX, disaster can strike anywhere.
Significantly, the countries with less than 1.0 per 100,000 constitute much of the EU (plus some closely allied countries such as Switzerland and Iceland, not officially members but broadly conforming to EU regulations and values), plus three of the Asian Tigers (S. Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong). So what are they doing right that big American cities and banana republics aren't?
@moonbus saidLarge cocks.

CALLING ALL RACISTS... CALLING ALL RACISTS, your help is needed
@Suzianne has used the term @whitebread-cities in the OP of this thread. I don't know what that means and I suspect a lot of others do not, as well. I'm sure it's a racist thing, knowing suzianne, so I ask the racists among us if you can interpret this phrase for us so we can getter a better grip as to what our resident racist has to say.
All in the spirit of cooperation, mon amis π π
@capacrapa saidThey don't collect that data.
@Suzianne
Nice twisted stats.
Per 100 thousand? OK now show the population of those cites and the demographics.
Also provide the racial stats of the victims/perps
You're using leftist politically correct BS stats.
Use real stats.
@suzianne saidOMG how do you not see what all of those "Deadliest Cities" have in common?

In America, an estimated 16,425 people were murdered in 2019. This was a 0.3% increase from the 2018 estimate.
Here are murder rates in 65 major U.S. cities (cities with greater than 100,000 residents) for 2019. Tucker doesn't want you to see, is there are plenty of whitebread cities above Chicago on this list.
