Newsom’s workin’ on it. At any rate, he has out-foxed Fox. That’s a great start. πŸ˜†
He seems to be a good choice/contender because Trump sure appears to be “afraid” of him.πŸ‘

Trump is too busy trying to sweep the Epstein files under the carpet to meet Newsom on his own ground. Even some GOP senators are saying ‘release the files.’

“Ya play with fire, ya get burned” and from the look of things there’ll be a lot of “A Listers”, political and otherwise, heading for the hospital burn units.

Yup. There’s a reason Epstein got away with a slap on the wrist when was prosecuted the first time, and it had nothing to do with the severity of his crimes. The pertinent question is not why the files are not released now, but why no one else was prosecuted then.

If the best the Democrats can come up with is, we’re not Trump, they’re dead in the water. Voter turnout was poor last election; my guess is, the nearly 1/3 who did not vote loathed Trump personally, but couldn’t warm up to the Democratic lack of vision and charisma.
Once you get to it, nobody likes the bill. Trump signed it but repealing the bill is good for Americans.

In other words, repealing is not primarily an anti trump message. The message is an alternative vision to prioritize people over corporate subsidies.

What about the blacks held by blacks? Still going on today in your beloved Africa The first US slave holder was black.
We're talking about bigotry in America where blacks were officially counted as a fraction of a human. A long-standing, state-supported, systemic bigotry.

And this is exactly why the files are not being released.

They're busy getting the full official redaction treatment.

Even in “real” life, like ours, often it’s not always what you know but who you know…networking. Networking can be useful for all, even the perverse. 😲

Do you know what Lincoln said about slavery?

A well-known quote from Abraham Lincoln on slavery states, "My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it". This quote, from his letter to Horace Greeley in 1862, highlights that Lincoln's primary goal was preserving the Union, with the destruction of slavery becoming a crucial means to that end.

Another powerful quote is, "In giving freedom to the slave, we assure freedom to the free. We shall nobly save, or meanly lose, the last best hope of earth". This statement, from his Second Annual Message to Congress in 1862, underscores the moral imperative of emancipation and its connection to American ideals of freedom.

Well, I've heard it said that "It's not who you know, it's who you blow."

So you figure the ultrarightwingnut rationalization is those slaves learned SKILLS.
Forget the fact that a women slave having a baby could get that baby taken way from here the day it was born, sold to another slave owner.
Or one of the skills made ILLEGAL to learn was learning to READ.
Take English lessons, GO TO JAIL AFTER getting horse whipped.
Or just horse whipping and GO BACK TO WORK NOW.
Yep those slaves were in HEAVEN, being treated SO humanitarianly.
