I'm not at all supporting Trump in his desire to get Greenland, but your entire post sounds like an underdog trying to get the motivation to fight a giant. Europe is weak, fragmented and over the years focussed on trivial things because they always lived under the umbrella provided by USA.
Cough cough. The EU holds significant leverage over Trump as European countries own $8 trillion of U.S. bonds and equities.

Sounds like you have a French fry on your shoulder.

The EU has plenty of economic leverage which extends far beyond the Shengen borders. The hard part is reaching consensus, and persuading the members not to try to reach any special deals with Trump individually.

I found it particularly craven that the Swiss showed up in Washington with a Rolex and bar of gold and 'bought' a special tariff deal for themselves. Yuk. Trump ru ...[text shortened]... oso, and the only way to undercut that it is for the whole EU to stand firm against special 'deals'.
I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 100 times, we should sell Switzerland to Russia for a bottle of vodka and a bar of chocolate.

Maybe you dont understand how these things work and you are jsut repeating stuff you heard elsewhere. Dumping bonds and equities is going to hurt the dumper as much as the dumpee, when the markets start to react.

Actually the weaker one, Europe, will be hurt more in the end. GDP for USA is about $30 Trillion, while for the entire EU community its about $20 Trillion all in $US. Take a guess who will get hurt in the end more.

No sane European country will do that, all over Greenland.

Cultural Clash. Someone interpret and define that, please.

'Culture' of the haute Europeans cannot nearly be compared to the rugged individualism and accomplishments of Americans.

I admire Europe's history, but America is the first culture built on an idea rather than blood or soil, The idea of liberty joined to opportunity makes our country far ahead of the vascillating Europeans, who really have done nothing in the last 250 years, as we have surpassed them, culturally and in many other ways. They do not even TRY to put a man on moon, dont you know.
Who cares about them.

EU superpower…😂

“The heroic 44-hour German mission in Greenland.

When US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that the US needed Greenland ‘because Europe is weak’, he ruffled a lot of feathers, but he is essentially right.

In the wake of renewed moves by the Donald J. Trump administration towards gaining control of the Arctic Island that presently belongs to the Kingdom of Denmark, Europe erupted, and vowed to defend Greenland.

Troops were sent! 15 French, 13 Germans, 2 Norwegians, 2 Finns, and 1 Briton.

If that was not ridiculous enough, we learn that the 15 German ‘heroes’ suddenly left the island ‘without explanation’.”

Isn't Europe where all the gays, lesbians, and leftists come from?
No, they come from San Francisco.

When Americans say 'Real Americans' they refer to a lifestyle and a philosophy and very little to do with race or country of origin. Some of these features from the top of my head are like ..
- conservative religious values
- strong family ties
- minimal feminist leanings
- absence of sexual deviants
- freedom to possess firearms
- homestead / ranch living
- muscle c ...[text shortened]... ques

In other words .. the good life. This is in stark contrast to say .. 'life in gay Paris'.
Yes, I think about sums up ------

George Wallace .....

longest-serving Governor of Alabama, who declared in his 1963 inaugural address that he stood for "segregation now, segregation tomorrow, and segregation forever."

No sane country would threaten its longest-standing and best allies with economic blackmail ..... over Greenland.

What's yer point?

As has been pointed out here umpteen times before, Southern Democrats are nothing like California or Massachusetts Democrats. Wallace was an unapologetic racist.

wanna bet? You forget that Denmark/Greenland are NATO nations
