Defense Department Losing Billions

Debates

The Department of Defense on Friday reported a net loss of $225 billion for the three months ending March 31. The department's yearly budget is $900 billion and it takes in no revenue.

Oh sorry... mixed that up. This was the actual story:

"The U.S. Postal Service on Friday reported a net loss of $3.3 billion for the three months ending March 31 as the money-losing agency continues to hike stamp prices and look at ways to cut costs." 😆

The postal SERVICE is needed so that the GOVERNMENT can inform you about YOUR RIGHTS and WHAT IT IS DOING TO PROTECT THEM! And of course, it has been expanded to also carry private letters and junk mail etc. Maybe we just return the USPS to sending out gummint info, tax forms, and election results? That would save money - get rid of all the junk.
