Yes, a poster here of, ahem, liberal persuasion, used this term. As it might come up again, I thought everyone should have the same understanding of it.
“Unchecked capitalism” means capitalism with no legal restraints (against forming monopolies, price fixing, other forms of market manipulation to reduce or eliminate competition, etc).

If you have no idea, then you have no way of knowing if athousandyoung's definition was incorrect or not, since you just admitted you're speaking from a position of ignorance.

- Sorry, but you just contradicted yourself! 😏
McHill. He used that term in a post. I asked him to tell us what it means. It is his term. If I said "Ice energy' in a post, you might want to know what the hell I mean.
You fellers think this debate is some kind of game to see who can be the most clever or something, I asked a simple question of the Forum, and you choose to debase me!!! For what?

that's like when billionaires use millions of dollars to elect politicians who will then pass tax breaks for them, strip away regulations preventing them from mistreating workers or putting asbestos into ice cream

Next, please. That is nary a definition.
oh so this is where the thread is going. You want a small definition to a complex issue because you can't deal with actual examples that rise out of unchecked capitalism.

Fine

Unchecked capitalism is ... get ready for it... capitalism without checks.

If you can't comprehend what that is or why it's bad there is no use talking at you. Like always

He didn't invent it ya dingbat. It's not his term. It has been around since they used children in factories or 12 hour workdays.

You now act like he just threw a couple of words together and nobody heard of this concept before.

Damn you're a moron

You got a guy here who reels at the thoughts and actions of a group of communists, socialists and liberals, who succeed in such things as taking the word God out of any public school classrooms.
So you will understand that yet another phrase comes up that I, for one, have never heard,
The latest of your scourge is that Eliz Warren wants to shut down clinics which help pregnant women. So we cons get defensive as we fight off your actions and phrasing. We all know that you will win in the end, Manchin and Trump are truly our last barricade, but libs are quite a mob.
So, I didn't put down my golf club and google that phrase. But in any event, it is a given that there are regulations innately required in Capitalism, but relative to the rest of the world, it (capitalism) is as free as a bird,, and to me, a qualifying word like unchecked makes it no less weaker than it is.
I will make money all day while I am not working, but I am afraid that my children will be restricted, by the new age that is being heralded in by nefarious government takeover.
So, any use of the word capitalism by a liberal on this forum gives me pause!!!! It has worked for 245 years! Ask me!!

Because, like a sexual bitch, you’re asking for it.

It's not about being clever Joe. You just admitted you didn't know the definition of unchecked capitalism right after telling Athousandyoung his definition was wrong. How do you know he is wrong if you can't explain it yourself?

I'm not trying to make you look dumb Joe, you're doing a great job of that for me. 😏

I have no idea, never have heard till an hour ago.
Your "I'm just a simple country bumpkin who doesn't... oops... don't know nothing please explain it to me in Alabama-approved words" schtick isn't working, joe. We all know what you really are.

I'd say when it is a win-win for everyone involved on a level playing field. When it
gets unbalanced is when the processes are distorted, tilting outcomes so that there
are winners and losers.

Above you say”. …after (my) telling Thousand his definition was wrong.”.
Would someone show me where I said that?
I didn’t say that.
So, you see the confusion that a 100% capitalist has with communists who cannot read and respond to posts?
I know that if I were a dependent communist as you are, I would brag how proud I am to be a communist. I would feel extremely accomplished, as is the human nature of humans..
