Twenty five million investment accounts. So Dell's contribution amounts to $250 in each account. In 20 years, it amounts to about $1300, but there will certainly be other contributions, so each child could realize thousands of dollars.
Thankyou donald. Always thinking A president who thinks.

Yeah, the article refers to the accounts as Trump accounts, which are in ...[text shortened]... s account, but it makes more sense to say trump account.....people Definitely naturally identify it.
Nah, probably the Dell account makes the most sense. Or something without a person's name in it all. It would make WAY more sense to call it the wildgrass accounts than Trump accounts. You make it seem like the Dell's want to give an entire generation of children the brilliant idea that they should be reliant on government assistance?

"... kids not for Trump..." What in the world do you mean by this?

You are a fool. The account is universal, Dell is but a mere philanthropist making a contribution to the account, which will welcome donations from those hated billionaires. Dell as nothing to do with establishment of the account. If I give $5000 to my church, they will not name the church after me.
Have you ever noticed that I have to use analogies to get through to you and Suzianne, et al? Wonder why that is, do you? Just see your response,,,,,,you suggest to name the universal account after one of its contributors.
And here again, a poster who has to be corrected, and yet does not say, 'you got me, I was wrong'. Pitiful.

"If I give $5000 to my church, they will not name the church after me."

But the Dell's are not giving money to kids at all. Per your analogy, this would be like if you gave money to Trump, and then asked Trump if he could be so kind as to donate the money to the church. Doesn't the go-between step seem unnecessary?

Philanthropy does not work this way. This is a bribe to a fascist government, plain and simple.

Keep in mind the Dell's stand to gain a lot more than $6 billion if the government keeps investing in massive server farms and low regulation on AI technology.

They are not giving money to the kids? If I put $100 in my child's piggy bank to be opened in 2030, I am giving it to my child. You are obtuse!!! (sorry, lib do that to me)

And if you knew squat about investments, or any subsection thereof, you would glean that the money the Dells put into an investment account will grow to be used by them in the future. Your doing a 'trump then gives it to the church' is absolutely stupid. Dell will give the money to the 'Kid's Account', not to Trump. Payee: "Kids Investments Account". Geez. You libs, you just gotta do this. I can't believe you will keep it up. I Tee off in 1 hour.

It seems like it's supposed to be a new government program (as outlined in your article), not a philanthropy effort. Like, the Dell's gave the money to the Trump administration, and asked them to give it to the kids. Am I wrong about that?

In a prior post, you write that the Dell's had nothing to do with it, now you say they're giving the money directly to kids. Which is it? Do you even know what's happening, or did you post this without reading?

You are right, I looked it up> It is a dam re-distribution of wealth. And it is also the government putting money in an account that 18-year olds get free money. I hate that. It will end up bad. It teaches kids to not work, just another govt crap. Why stop at $1000, which is how much govt puts in for each child. They are telling us it will increase the purchasing power of children, that it will teach them investment lessons. Yeah, but this is not in the constitution, and that is not exactly an answer to raising kids. They turn 18, they get the money, they go to Europe.
If I had thought of making a Dell-like contribution, I ain't gonna do it. The lesson here for us all? Do NOT lean on govt to cover your kids, teach them to earn their way.
So, I do not like the program. I have been tring to learn so much that uou all throw at me. (just where are the drugs coming from!!!!!!) real important stuff, that this got byme. Bad move, Donald. Govt handouts, redistributing wealth our t money. It is like the f'n tuition payments. Same thing. I disagree with both.
Sorry if I misled you all. Vote No

Wow. We've reached consensus.

Do the Dell's at any point try to explain why they would "donate" this money to the government instead of giving it directly to the kids who they think need it most?

First, see the picture. That is just Dell’s donation. It results in $250 per child. Let’s say others step forward and each child might receive total $1000. You are saying here to just give them today, when they are born, $1000. How can you all be so dense?
IT IS MEANT TO GROW for the kids.

Jesus.

Jesus. RHP should give me a raise.
