Debates

You're not a Holy Roller. You ask others NOT to bring religion into their debates. So what's your problem with aborting embryos?
Easy man. I was asked if it was good or bad. I answered bad. So,moving along, you ask me what my problem is?? Can you start over, please, as you and I certainly do not want to raise the abortion issue.
You must be upset with my one word answer above?. Which was ‘Bad’.? Libs do not understand simple one-word answers. Have you noticed how I’ve said over the years,,,,’libs don’t answer questions,”? Yalll don’t, and it threw you to see me do it.
Ask me a question, Turkey.
More fun, ask Marauder a question. But grab a comfortable chair.

Maybe let the parents to be decide.
Instead of the Bible thumpers.
Bible thumpers are, generally speaking, not to be listened to for any form of advice.

“It’s God’s will.” Is biblical gobblygook for: “Fukked if I know!”

BUMP for Joe who seems to have forgotten what he posted

People abort fetuses and they don't need to have a reason.
Do you support forcing people to raise defective children?

Are you anti choice?
I have never seen a lib acknowledge the concept of 'choice' on the Forum. Dude.

Yes, you fall on your face all the time in here.

I do the best I can. Just now I took a stab, at marauder's request, of defining culture cretins in the Chicago thread. I hope it passed muster. I answer all questions. That must be refreshing to some on the forum.

Courtesy of the grammar gestapo. We all make mistakes, typing in haste. Me, too, sometimes. πŸ˜†

But this is about choice. Once you know your fetus is defected do you choose to raise a defective child or abort it? That is the choice. What would you choose?

So many other factors at play herd.
Am I financially secure enough to support the potential child without relying on a government that doesn’t give a rats rear end post natal?
Do I already have children whose lives could possibly be negatively effected by one of its parents giving up paid work to look after the potential child.
Plus many variables I haven’t mentioned

I guess I am thinking too much about life, but yes, that circumstance would be a hard call. I like your point that it would definitely affect the lives of your other children, most certainly in a negative way. I guess in the truest sense, I would have nine months to think about it.πŸ«„

Well I would hope to decide well before that, in the uk the screening takes place between weeks 10 and 14 of the pregnancy for Downs, Edwards and Patau’s syndromes. A Hobsons choice for someone who desperately wants a child or whose worldview clashes with the concept of termination

Is it ethical to abort a fetus that is defective? Down Syndrome is a random thing. Even the most genetically fit people can have a child with Down Syndrome. There is also the possibility an extra chromosome every once in a while can result in an evolutionary jump. How else can a species evolve a different number of chromosomes eventually? It has to start somewhere.
