The democrats are not socialists. In Europe the democrats are (economically speaking) right-wing capitalists.
Bernie, in Europe, is centre-left.

If you consider the long-term investment needed in US infrastructure, the problems with the economy and healthcare & the environmental issues being faced, perhaps a little socialism (in certain areas) might help the situation.

People constantly making fast bucks in a gambling arena is all well and good for the DOW, but it does not suit the long term needs of the average joe.

So it's not timed, it goes up after each edit? Refreshing the page doesn't make the count go up, editing does. Okay.
