" Getting Democrats to agree on a course of action is like herding cats"

- Bill Clinton

Dear Democrats, What ever you think of GOP lawmakers, they have 1 advantage over you: They stand together! They're policies may not be as popular, but they vote as a single unit far more often than you do. If you folks on the left wing don't start doing the same on this infrastructure bill, this administration is going down the tubes, and so will this opportunity to further your agenda. I've been watching this happen to Democratic administrations for decades. Will this time be different? Hmmm- 🙄

The plan IS to go down the tubes. Do you mean it would just be faster.?

The GOP strategy is obstruction. Nothing else.
You could let them draft the bill and they would still vote it down.
There is only one goal. Regain the House and Senate in 2022. And install a Republican President in 2024.

For them, there is a larger pot at the end of the rainbow.
And the battle lines are drawn. Conservatism vs Liberalism.
Everything else is a hot button.

Does not the Dem party have the same goal?? Don't get you there.
A liberal dares mention a "Pot at the end of the Rainbow"??

If you ask a guy on the street which party would most epitomize a group that would be looking for a pot of someone else's gold, what do you think he would say?
Why do libs not answer fun questions like this.

i am pretty fed up with the line "democrats are divided between progressives and moderates"

what the progressives are proposing has overwhelming support among democrats, it's been demanded for decades. Biden ran on that agenda, albeit watered down and the "moderates" are against even that.

There is nothing moderate about going against the wishes of your base , it's just corporate stooges being republicans in disguise and getting to dictate policy because... why exactly? Because the rest of the democrats are too scared of going against Manchin and Sinema because they might drop the pretense and go full republican, not realizing that they might lose other seats because the voters stop showing up? Or because many are just as much corporate stooges as those two and are glad they don't have to show their hand and declare themselves against an agenda they never had any intention of passing?

Funny, I have sent a contribution to Manchin, in the hopes that he will switch parties, and I am not even a citizen of his state! That is how geared up I am to stop ruination of USA. YOu've made me think to contribute to Sinema as well.

You mean the ruin that will come to the country if repubs win and reduce the voter registrations so only white boys will control the country and once again drive the US back over 100 years, kill Roe V Wade, kill unions, kill the EPA, that way big corps will have permanent control of the US and workers will go back to being numbers not humans.

No Joe, the plan is not to go down the tubes. The plan is to craft an infrastructure bill that can be signed into law. Our roads, bridges, internet and electrical grid, all need upgrades. This will bring many good paying domestic jobs to hard working Americans, and bring some badly needed matainance to the aforementioned areas of our nation. I expect no cooperation whatsoever from the GOP, but if the Democrats can't even agree among themselves what they want, it just won't happen.

Of course you are correct,,,,,,,,about infrastructure. Hell, hand me a shovel.
Have you ever heard this phrase...Cradle to Grave. THAT is what is going on. Don't pretend you and the Sonhouse are not all in for welfare state. Certainly you are not on the receiving end of all that free stuff in the bill??? McHill? Are you?
Think I will do a thread on what is being decided these few days on what our money will be spent on. And I promise you, the earners under $400K will indeed have tax increases. He lied.

Uhhh, have you paused to wonder why the Dems can't agree, BTW??

If this viciously hostile 'Republicans vs. Democrats' division is truly genuine and not just for show, why is nobody discussing the logical solution: simply split-up the country into two independent countries? Any thoughts?

We repubs would love it, and would love a wall. Problem BKnight, it would cut libs off from support. They would invade the sovereign boundary, which is quite their nature this very day, without hesitation. And not just for our stuff. They would want us to save them from what would surely be anarchy. Mob Rule! Their President Suzianne would look like Joan of Arc.
And i think they would overwhelm us, and be right back where we started.
Im serious.

This only shows you are totally FOR the "ruination of the country". Don't insult us by claiming otherwise.

Thanks for confirming that Republicans today are as dangerous as the southern democrats then. Same policies, same party.

So another words, instead of having two separate independent utopias of happiness, we would rather fight and bicker and be miserable for the next million years?

Sorry, but to me that just don't add up ... it sounds very fishy ... something's going on that's being kept hidden from us ...
