Funny, I was voting in all those elections, and I don't recall any such thing. It was AFTER Carter's term that Dems turned against him and Reagan won by a landslide. It was AFTER Clinton that the Dems were sick of him and the Dems lost, etc. and nobody was squawking about leaving the Dems when Biden ran.
