These and many other countries have either dropped all COVID restrictions or greatly loosened them, all while the Omicron surge is either still near its apex or only partially down the mountain.

For the Covidians who believe that government restrictions are warranted to (futilely) try to stop Omicron, why do you think European opinion has suddenly abandoned your way of thinking?

Not a taunt. Really. Just a question.

Did any of them report 4,239 COVID deaths yesterday?

Your question is disingenuous. Practically speaking, restrictions are not designed to stop anything, only to mitigate. Right?

It's worth noting that the COVID restrictions are not specific to COVID. These measures (masking, vaccination, distancing, quarantine) have been standard practice for over 100 years of public policy surrounding disease outbreak.

Maybe the ultimate impacts of these measures were harmful and we need to rethink. But not new, and not ineffective.

No.

Care to answer the question?

https://www.opb.org/article/2022/02/02/take-back-life-more-nations-ease-coronavirus-restrictions/

the World Health Organization this week said some countries can now consider carefully relaxing the rules if they have high immunity rates, their health care systems are strong and the epidemiological trends are going in the right direction.

In other words, the WHO said nations more responsible with Covid and healthcare than the U.S. can ease restrictions.

Not really.

The fact is there are relatively few places in the US where there are any serious restrictions because of this pandemic anymore. The COVID minimizers like yourself have essentially won.

And the bodies keep piling up. Congratulations on your "success". MB should take a bow, too.

Can we bring back all those that committed suicide??

After we reverse 5 million world-wide Covid deaths.

Your rhetoric is inexcusable.

Everybody is going to get covid. It is not a question of if, but when. Your hero Fauci even said so.

The pile of bodies would be the same regardless of which of us got our way unless you count suicides and overdoses, then your pile of bodies would be bigger. I would save them from the depression that came with social isolation and a constant state of fear.

Yes.

Sh76 deliberately left out a link to falsely claim those countries "abandoned" safe Covid practices when they were actually following WHO guidelines.

Didn't we already establish that the US had less suicides in 2020 than 2019?

Then the WHO "abandoned" safe Covid practices.
Is that better?

LOL!
That is so absurd!
