Third group of migrants arrive in DC from Texas under Abbott's plan
The third group of migrants arrived in Washington D.C. Friday morning as part of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's response to what he says is President Joe Biden's "ongoing failure to secure the border.”
“This is sending a message to both the president and Congress – Texas is tired of being the unloading dock for illegal immigrants crossing the border,” Abbott said Thursday as the third bus made its way towards DC. “We will transport as many as possible.”

This is absolute proof the the GOP never really believed Mexican immigrants are "bringing crime, they're bringing drugs, they're rapists".
After all this fearmongering about immigrants, DeSantis has no qualms sending them into the middle of the country. It was all, unsurprisingly, a racist lie.

do you believe this absolute garbage of a human being would have qualms dumping rapists on his fellow americans, even more so in blue states? Both DeSantis and Abbott make laws purely governed by how many votes it will get them, no matter how many people they hurt, even in their own states.
I am positive they don't actually believe the crap they are uttering but not for the reason you listed, that they wouldn't harm other americans just to get ahead .
@zahlanzi saidI don't know why I keep confusing DeSantis and Abbot. This isn't the first time I've done this.

I know they don't care about hurting blue states, the issue is that they don't believe immigrants are the "threat" to the country they've been claiming. If they *genuinely* believed Mexican immigrants were drug peddling rapists, there would be an outcry from conservatives against sending them further into the country.
Of course they don't care about hurting blue states (though D.C. isn't a state but should be). The issue is that they don't believe the crap they spew, as evidenced by their actions. Their fearmongering is just that; racist lies.
I'm simply calling them out.
@vivify saidConfusing DeSantis and Abbot is one thing. Anyone can confuse two people and they are both governors of very large reddish states.

On the other hand, continuing to use the term "they" and trashing "them" after you've acknowledged that the article you cited referred to one and not the other, is a little bizarre.

@vivify saidSo our two protagonists above are telling us all that DeSantis and Abbot secretly believe that the invaders are not a threat to this country. Well, they can claim hypocrisy if they want to, as they imply by their posts that the invaders are not threats. One of the aliens will kill an American within a short period of time, as they ply our children with fentanyl through their 'mule' connections. Our protagonists are bringing them in, we want them the hell out. Which of us is responsible?

That's what i don't agree with
Any garbage human that honestly believes mexicans (other) are rapists are the same type of humans that wouldn't think twice about harming americans they perceive as "other"
Are there few americans who believe democrats are evil? How many walk around these days with t-shirts saying "better Putin than Biden"? How many cheered when Trump didn't send aid to Puerto Rico?
My point is that people who call mexicans rapist aren't people overly concerned about decency or care for other people not in their club

@sh76 said"They" meaning conservatives who supported a candidate whose major platform was building a wall to keep out alleged drug dealing rapists.

"They", meaning Republicans, clearly don't believe that disparaging claim about Mexican immigrants, given how none of them speak out against the actions of Abbot; if they truly believed Abbot was sending drug dealing rapists into the country there would be an outcry form conservatives. Surprise, surprise, Abbot has only been praised for his actions by Republicans.
@zahlanzi saidSo you're saying it's not necessarily that they don't believe Trump's claims about Mexicans it's that they don't care so long as they get to keep their neighborhoods free of (nonwhite) immigrants, everyone else in the country be damned.

You have a point.

@sh76 saidHow about you declutch your pearls a bit. They are interchangeable. Both have made their entire agenda out of appealing to the worst americans with laws whose main point is just plain cruelty

@zahlanzi saidI see you mention 'laws'. I need to point out that you fellers seem to ignore that the people who illegally violate our borders are illegal. And they do illegal things. Could you back up a few clicks and get in agreement, with us, that we expect people to obey the law in this country?

OR, do you ignore that little fact and rail on about what people think about these illegal aliens , as if it is a given, an accepted fact, that they are 'here' and that that is that????
Do you think the the two governors, saddled with illegal alien invaders, are fed up, and are trying to do ANYTHING to make Americans see what is happening? Throwing it in the Weak Biden's face, trying to make every one see the loser that he is? You two are bantering about what they Think........I more banter about what they DO! I hope they send busloads to every city in the country.
@vivify saidWell, they do seem to be twins separated at birth.

They both want to ride on Trump's coattails, short as they are.
