I could not agree w/you more. 911 was used as a springboard for that.I was hootin and hollerin than too. I still am. big gov is bad for the freedom of the individual. I see Obama and that whole group in power now trying to make it even bigger.they are making steps in that direction.power grabs. only time will tell. but labeling citizens opposed to their policies" threats" is scary

What do you mean by power grabs? I think in a economic crisis such as this it is the Gov job to try to boost the economy. I do not see anything in these plans Obama is implementing that threatens the liberties of the citizens. Just like what FDR did in the 30's. Having said that I feel like these policies increase the amount of bureaucracy in the Gov which is bad for the long term, but just as it did in the 70's and 80's someone will come along and shrink it again. As for labeling citizens as threats, it is the job of the CIA and the FBI to be paranoid lunatics, and the job of the president to filter out the lunacy.

alright one example of infringing on liberty. the planned compulsory service to the goverment for middle school, high school and college students......as far as fdr that was no success. the war is what took us out of the depression.the new deal did little to help the poor , middle class, and minorities

It's not that I take offence to DHS and Ms. Napolitano, its that i am concerned seeing my freedoms systematically being stripped ...[text shortened]... nation has ever seen.
But, you being from Denmark, I wouldnt expect you to understand that.
What is that supposed to mean?

Nope that just make you right wing. And the veteran part has nothing to do with it. I don't see how that fits in?

It's not that I take offence to DHS and Ms. Napolitano, its that i am concerned seeing my freedoms systematically being stripped away by an administration with the most leftist agenda this great nation has ever seen.

What freedoms have you lost so far? (and it's comments like this that tilts you towards extremist). You know sprouting Fox Noise propaganda.

But, you being from Denmark, I wouldnt expect you to understand that.

Again, what is that supposed to mean?

these are facts, anybody well informed should know this.(im not gonna list a myriad of web sites and books. you can research it your self if you dont believe me.the new deal did little to help blacks, the poor, and the middle class. Also, americas biggest industrial collapse occured in 1937. 8 yrs after the 1929 stock market crash, nearly 5 yrs into the new deal. american factories made war goods to sell to european countries such as britan, because there was a warπŸ™‚. after pearl harbor over 10,000,000 american men into service in one form or another. this opened up a huge demand to supply them and the depression was over.afterwards,a comprehensive vet benefit package was legislated.the liberal vet & housing benefit resulted in increased productivity & a construction boom.

by referring to denmark i assume that is where he lives, hence the flag. not being born and raised here you cant really know how it is. all your info is second hand and or spoon fed by leftist sources(judging from his comments). being an arm chair critic from half-way across the world is easy but it holds no weight w/me.
