Well, whoever leaked the info, I'd like to shake their hand.

Maybe the "pro-life" (yeah, right) Republicans won't do as well as they thought in the midterms.

I'm sure the initial plan was to keep a lid on this until after the midterms.

I was commenting on their testimony, during confirmation
hearings, about how they would 'protect precedent,' and considered
Roe vs. Wade as, 'established law.'
You're right though, this may wake up some Dem voters.

Equally so, Susan Collins going on and on, surprised, that Gorsuch and Kavanaugh lied to her about where they stood on Roe. I say she's either a liar or incredibly naive.

States' rights is bull.

What happens to the poor unfortunates that find themselves living in a state that wants to see The Handmaid's Tale become reality?

States cannot just ruin their citizens' lives for giggles.

There MUST be Federal oversight on this.

So, I used to ask whodey this when he went off on this tangent:

So then are you in favor of making contraceptives available for every woman of child-bearing age? No? Then you can shove your anti-choice nonsense.

One would think they would do well, with saving of the unborn and such as that. BTW Biden referenced yesterday. While speaking to the issue of abortion, to the “child “ that would be aborted. I guess this is a Freudian slip as he referred to this thing or blob as a child. How will he walk that back, or funnier yet, how would you defend it?

States don't have rights; only individuals do.

And the idea that States could violate individuals' rights was settled in the negative by the 14th Amendment as a matter of Constitutional (of course, they never legitimately had such a power according to the beliefs of those who founded the nation).

What you're missing is that America wants to keep Roe v. Wade active, by a 2:1 margin.

It is a nothing burger. One sentence tells us all that it is for the states to deal with. That is it. SCOTUS should tell us all to leave them the hell alone, so they can get back to what their true business is, which are cases as they relate to the constitution of the United States.
Hallelujah. We don’t have to write about SCOTUS any more. But we can have aT IT about the states. Some states are for it, and some states are not. I love this country.

It appears that Susie thinks Scotus should consider the will of the people when they make decisions. Unbelievable.
