The right wing line now is "Biden lies, too!", so I'm assuming Santos gets a pass. Another election in that swing district after this is highly likely to result in a Democratic win shaving the Republican majority down to 221 to 214 meaning that corralling the cats will be even more difficult for McCarthy.

No it’s more if standards of honesty are dropped to such an extent that people can create an identity out of thin air, and be identity fluid if you like, then we descend into a fact free domain where nothing anyone says has any objective reality anymore. Are we already there so it doesn’t matter anyway?

Biden made 78 misleading statements against Trump's 511.

That's a ratio of 1:7 or in simple language in their first 100 days Trump told 7 for every 1 lie that Biden told.

If you compare Biden, Trump and Obama as ranked by Politifact, then in terms of truth telling I definitely would have chosen to have lived under an OBAMA administration.

By contrast, Santos' biography as he gave it to voters in his district was almost entirely fictitious.
