@vivify saidThomas Sowell claims Blacks learned their bad habits from Southern Whites:
Generally, who is more likely to exhibit the issues in your OP: people who come from low-income homes or higher income homes?
Think about this question for a moment.
Now: who else exhibits similar stereotypes to what's mentioned in your OP: Poor whites, especially those in the south. These stereotypes are staples of the whites referred to as "redneck", "white trash" o ...[text shortened]... emonize a group of people. Nothing I said is new or unknown; but racism doesn't care about context.
@wildgrass saidOf course. Thumb up from AvJoe. Life is not perfect, as you have just pointed out. I had to work my way through college and graduate college, maybe Marauder with same education, did not have to work his way through college. Wheeeeeeww!! What in the world are you talking about? Should something have been diffferent? Should his daddy have paid for my education? Is that where you are going with this? What, Wildgrass?
Another good one. But a family living with enough wealth is more important, mostly for placements in better school districts, and dispensable income to invest kids in club activities/sports/enrichment programs.
Anyway, thumb up for your explaining to lib friends that life is not perfect.
@wildgrass saidI don't grumble about it, I just have one phrase...'Life ain't fair'. I made that up. No grumble, just fact. Inarguable. The issue is, what in the world do you y'all think should be done about it.
You're constantly grumbling about fairness here, not the socialists.

Better for the taxpayer to fund that, rather than coughing up for lifetime welfare for a kid with very little chance of a decent future. If we could solve #1, the other points would follow, surely."

Kewpie, you are in Australia, the US has a system that lures these women into indigence.
Many of these women - and I include white women, as well, *want* to get pregnant.
They end up with benefits like free healthcare, food, housing etc, for doing nothing.
I'm not joking.
@earl-of-trumps saidI concur. The more children, the more govt support. It is true.

@averagejoe1 saidNo lib will tell us what should be done about it. Or what to do about those dam successful people, who have the money to prove it! They don’t answer a LOT of questions.

Australia has single mother welfare, child support welfare, disabled welfare, the whole bit. We taxpayers choose to support the helpless because nobody should starve. Sure we have a few who abuse or rort the system, but we choose to tolerate them because of the great majority whose needs are legitimate.
Think of it like shoplifting. Some steal by necessity, some for their own personal benefit. Retailers turn a blind eye and expect other customers to make up the loss. But what's the alternative?

Having paid a good few years tax in Aus I can assure kewpie 100% it is not a choice.
@kewpie saidYeah, and we don't. If you can say we then I can say we, as in we are a bunch of people who do not choose to support dead beat parasites, we did not vote to pay more tax, we did not choose to pay tax, the goobermint waves a big stick and has men with guns to make sure we do. We have never voted for the people you keep voting in.
We have a vote. Most people grumble about tax but we keep voting for the people who decide how much.
We believe you should live your life free from force and threats of force, but we realise there are busy body control freaks whose ideas are so bad they have to be forced.
@averagejoe1 saidAnd there are some who are not allowed to be successful, no matter how hard they work.
@AverageJoe1
Raj’s comment is inarguable, and therefore, the word judge does not really fit into something that is a fact. “ work hard, be successful.” How else would one judge that fact?

Who knew?
@vivify saidIn my experience, those who work the hardest make the least money.
You think Paris Hilton worked hard? Don Jr.? Hunter? You think it's a "fact" they worked for their wealth?
Are you saying people are poor because they don't work hard?
How much actual work does he think Donald Trump does? I haven't seen him work a single day in his life. Unless suddenly, flapping his mouth is hard work.
@vivify saidThe world is full of successful blacks., becuase they have the attitude to life which I described. Many like you have the wrong attitude, and destined for failure.
When they wake up in a world with racists like you who hate them, changing their future isn't merely a matter of choice. Blacks in South Africa can't just "wake up" and will a better future when the economy is still controlled by racist whites.
But again: racists like yourself don't need an excuse to continue being hateful. Facts and history don't matter to you.
@kewpie saidHere is some advice,... Next time dont steal someones post and make a thread out of it. Is that the best you can do? Is that the MO of Aussies? Get some class and go read up on what it is that causes some to succeed and others to fail. Racism or being black is not one of them.
This is about as arrogant as anything I've seen here. What right have you to judge others?
