I can think of several interpretations off the top of my head, but I'm not going to give them to you.
There are subtle indications that you are a passionate lover of squirrels which you seduce with hazzlenut cream truffles and dandelion wine. More importantly your butterfly avatar implies that you attribute a "butterfly effect" to your actions and indicates a massively inflated ego. As the flutter of a butterflies wings could, conceivably, domino into a hurricane so do you see your smallest gestures and actions (as I currently live in Florida, you are also to be blamed for the hurricane activity we have had over the last two years).

I summary: You are subtle and secretive, yet, bent on global domination.

You probably spend a lot of your time hidden away. You like to make a grand entrance with a lot of splash, but it is only short lived.

How'd I do?

I believe kirksey described the personality orfeo would like to have, while you described his real personality which he rejects, but which reveals itself in his avatar anyway.

As supported by your profile pick, your avatar indicates that you have been wearing your bow tie to tight and cut off the circulation to your frontal lobe. You're also a chronic masturbator... sorry, the truth hurts.

Summary: You need to be heavily medicated at all times and for God's sake, stop playing with yourself.

Ooh, NOW we're getting tricky.

I could accept the world domination part, but I don't go for squirrels.

I may have been wrong about the squirrels... I still see something involving hazlenuts, fruity wine and seduction though... your sure ther are no squirrels involved?

I would love to say I judge people by what they write in the forums, but I feel their avatar inhibits my ability to be objective.

Will anyone admit to similar prejudices?
It seems obvious to me that people choose their avatar specifically because they want to to affect how people read their posts. Or, more simply put, they want to be seen in a specific way. I don't think anyone's true self can be read directly from their avatar, but we can see who they want to be, which is a start in that direction.

I am dancing teaching machine!

There is nothing more intimidating than that. Or perhaps that's just my phobia coming through.

EDIT: You know I opened this thread wondering if it could possibly be about my avatar switch. Nice to know it was noticed.

We are multilayered beings, and the avtar we choose at any given time can only represent one facet of our true selves.

Kirk is one who can relate to may different aspects of our society, and his avatars represent that. Orfeo looks for natural beauty prevailing against the harshness of the world surrounding him.

Xanthos is trying to attract attention with flashy stuff. I liked the sneer better, it more suited his disposition.

I resemble that remark. I would have used just the face from my avatar but it's 23*19 and looks a little odd when shown at the magnification the site puts it at.

In your case the only reason we put with you is your avatar! 🙂
