Uhuh.
You do know that covid is a world wide issue and that almost everything Fauci says parallels to what experts in every other country are saying as well? Every single health authority. Every single virologist. All over the world.

Mhmmmm… yeah…
'Every single virologist'???

LOL. You mean every single virologist with a conflict of interest with the pharma industry.

I've heard a virologist say that the CDC is committing crimes against humanity.
I've heard another virologist say that all these vaccines are totally useless against the new virus variants because they were designed for the original 'Alpha' virus.
I've heard yet another virologist say that cheap, safe and effective treatments are being ignored and discouraged in favor of expensive inferior drugs.
etc...etc...

Plus, the drug industry is now a global monopoly so powerful that they can influence governments.

Are you suggesting Fauci is irreplaceable?
He is 81 years old.

I am suggesting Fauci retires. He is an old man so it would be a very late retirement. He is a pathological liar.

"Can you point to someplace else doing things differently with better results? Why does he focus on the origins of COVID during the pandemic?"

Yeah, put someone in Fauci's place that w ...[text shortened]... lict of interest.
The origin of the COVID pandemic is irrelevant? Have you lost your freaking mind?
COVID's already here. We can't do anything about that. We should reflect on origins at some point but that's not what the committee was designed for. The Senate health committee oversees public health policy broadly, and has an enormous amount of power on these issues. They make decisions. Rand Paul, however, is an ineffectual leader who should be offering solutions (or at least asking about solutions) and not piling on more solution-less problems.

You haven’t heard that at all.

Utter nonsense.

Origin is important.

If it is a genetically engineered virus that escaped from a lab we need to prevent it from happening again. You would foolishly have us wait until another genetically engineered virus escapes from a lab. Next time it may be something far more deadly.

Then there is the possibility it was deliberately released to infect the entire world. It that just a trivial matter? 😠

I'm not saying origin is not important, I am saying it wasn't the focus of the committee. Rand Paul likes to shift focus so no one notices that he's the one with the power to change things, but he chooses scapegoating over leadership.

The modern "not my problem" Republicans are so hard to take seriously. They complain about the deep state because it's faceless and impossible to fix. They think Democrats want open borders but don't do anything substantive to fix illegal immigration. They rail against the elites while enriching them.

What virologist said that CDC
committed crimes against humanity?

And if I had written down her name, and also kept records of hundreds of other doctors and virologists, what difference would it make? Zero --- zip!

There are people of conscience with vastly more influence than me who have been desperately fighting the corrupt drug industry and its government puppets for decades, and got nowhere. What we have here is organized crime at the highest level of power.

But the bottom line is, if you think your profit-driven health care industry is trustworthy and cares for your well-being, then please go right ahead and follow all their advice. Go get all your recommended medications, and vaccines, and boosters, and checkups, and let me know how it works out for you.

Are you claiming there is another committee better suited to bring it up at?

Democrats don't want open borders and don't do anything substantive to treat illegal immigrants humanely just like the republicans. They rail against the elites while enriching them just like the republicans. Both are corporate whores of the plutocracy. In other words, fascism. We live in a fascist state and you are condoning it.

Democrats are hard to take seriously because they think they are different than republicans when they are not. Their perception does not match reality.

Sure maybe another committee. Viruses are a national security threat. If we had a functional military, probably they are the ones best to handle the implementation of a preventative strategy against the next one.

We've known this was coming for a long time. Viruses have mutated and emerged and decimated mankind naturally at hundreds of time points in human history. Epidemiologists picked up on the idea that international air travel changed everything and have been issuing warnings for decades. It's always been a when not if scenario.

Maybe the most important question is: when the next one comes, what are we going to do about it? Point fingers and sneer? Ask the Supreme Court for their medical advice? Nuke China? Any plan would be better than what developed in the past two years. With all the money and innovation, our country just wilted. At least we have F-35's though.

Rand Paul doesn't want to ask the questions about how we could do better next time. Those are questions asked by real leaders.
