Who is his proposed replacement for Fauci? What's his alternative plan for mitigation? Can you point to someplace else doing things differently with better results? Why does he focus on the origins of COVID during the pandemic?
Fauci is a scientific advisor. Rand Paul is a leader. If you've ever seen the movie Lincoln, Ol' honest Abe gets 12 very different well argued opinions from people he trusts, and then he has to make the tough call on what to do. He didn't blame his advisors. Leaders have to make real very difficult decisions, but instead Rand Paul chooses grandstanding, bloviating and blaming Dr. Fauci for his own ineffectual leadership.
I used to like Rand Paul. He was one of the only real fiscal conservatives out there for awhile. He advocated for cutting the defense budget, which is so obviously bloated with pork that billions of dollars in projects with no results over decades continue to be funded. His position on all that has changed, and he's stopped trying to solve problems. I'm done with people like that.
