Any of you who are not from Philadelphia just cannot understand the kind of hysteria going on in my fair city today. Yesterday was very, very quiet in most Philadelphia office buildings. Today, with the hangovers slept off, the buzz has started. And before all of you Patriots fans get too excited about your third Super Bowl in four years, I will tell ...[text shortened]... coming back to Broad Street.
You heard it here first: Eagles 27, Patriots 24. GO EAGLES!!!
I mean the Pats beat the Colts by faking the Blitz often forcing Manning into his anti-blitz reads then dropping out of it so his short slants and screens didn't work. They blitzed heavily against the Steelers and stuffed the box forcing a rookie QB (granted one of the best rookie QB's ever) to throw under pressure.
I've given up trying to work out what they are planning against McNabb.
I also can't stand the Pat's. Hopefully, TO can come in and play well. It appears there is also an unquantifiable variable in the equation. Check this out.
"What a lot of people don't realize is that I've been doing a lot of rehab on my own, a lot of healing on my own, but spiritually God is healing me and I'm way ahead of where a lot of people expect me to be, even the doctor," Owens said Monday. "He's even shocked at what he's seen. Spiritually I've been healed and I believe that I'll be out there on that field Sunday, regardless of what anyone says." - Terrell Owens
Maybe God has something against things from Massachuessets?
I wonder why people hate the Pats? I'm not a huge fan of theirs but I like what I have seen so far. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of ego displayed. Am I mistaken?
I also don't like TO although I concede when he is 100%, he is the best receiver in the game right now. I'm a 49ers fan and I hang onto the days of Montana, Young, and Rice....

Eagles suck.

I admire the Pats for playing smart football. They don't give the ball up, they don't make tactical errors, they prepare well for each opponent and they don't make stupid decisions. You don't see them called for a personal foul on a critical play. You don't see them punt from the opponent's 37 when behind or kick a field goal from the two when down by 14. That's what makes them a great team.

I'm ba-aaaaack....
I understand that you may not like the Eagles, but you cannot say they suck. I mean you can say it, but you lose all your credibility when uttering a phrase stating that one of the last two teams playing sucks.
Who is this? Is your name Merril Hoge?
The Eagles have no chance against the Patriots. The Patriots will stomp a hole in them and then drag their innards across the fields. Even if Terrell Owens plays, he won't catch more than 5 passes and he will be a non-factor. While we all know the New England defence is the best in the league, look what their offence did to the Steelers. Clutch play. Points off turnovers. Not turning the ball over themselves. Tom Brady is the best Quarterback in the league and I would have him be the anchor of my team over Peyton Manning or Donovan McNabb anyday. New England is unstoppable and if I'm wrong I will put my money where my mouth is. Anyone care to place a wager?

I knew it. You really are Merril Hoge in disguise.
Dude - somebody stomp a hole in the Eagles? Did you see Alge Crumpler again after Brian Dawkins pulled a Neo on him - jumped right into him and exploded him from the inside out? Did you see Vick running for his life, throwing the ball away at the mere sniff of a pass rush? Did you see Jevon Kea ...[text shortened]... he Eagles. But stomped? Innards? You, my friend, would do well to lay off the sauce awhile.
Granted, the Eagles won the NFC is convincing fashion this year (with the exception of the last couple games which don't really count) but I am just amazed by the Patriots. Everything they do on the field. The way they conduct themselves off the field. The intensity of the defense. The coaching. Everything. This year is the year when the word dynasty becomes fitting. They WILL romp the Eagles. And they'll do it by at least 14 points.
But what do I know? I'm Canadian.
