Eagle Pass Hotel

I have a business idea. We open a hotel in eagle pass Texas and it'll be for all the politicians who want to do a quick photo op and a speech about how "we need to do something about this" all the while actively blocking any efforts to actually do something about it.

We could charge whatever we want. $3000 a night? For an extra fee we can hire an immigrant to jump a fence in the background while they're talking, you know for the foxnews clip. They'll pay it because they don't care about spending.

Why don't any of these clowns have any interest in solving the problem, and why don't their voters care?

Your cars in the shop and the mechanic says * wow you're cars in really bad shape needs a lot of work* and you naturally ask what he will do to fix it and he answers * ehh maybe nothing. Wait till next year *

Get a new mechanic. Congress controls the border.

@wildgrass
Especially when Trump OWNS the repubs, his latest trick telling Mikey Johnson to kill the border bill BECAUSE it would give kudo's to Biden. Yep, Trump is SUCH a great man, ONLY thinking about the plight of common folk.........

Well in that case everyone should stop using the shop across the road because they couldn’t get the original shop to fix it. That’ll teach em.

One word: Trump.

Are you in? Let's make it a $100k per investor and it'll come back at least ten fold. They're never fixing the border, so you'll have gobs of Republicans staying at the eagle pass hotel for decades.

Build not buy. All I have to do is dramatically overestimate the value of my existing property, apply for a loan, hope I don't get caught.

Do you want in? I'm soliciting VC funds too. It's a gold mine waiting to happen.

The bank will check that, as they did with Trump. Both parties will then either agree or dispute that valuation. This portrayal of Trump putting some arbitrary value on his property and hoping it will fly under the banks radar, that they wont do their own investigations, is puerile, you are puerile.

The bank checked Trumps valuation and they both agreed to that valuation for the purposes of a loan.

Go after Trump, have a hate on Trump by all means, but these stupid fixations actually do more harm than good for the anti-Trump campaign, they instead bolster him.

Because the economic value to US employers to have a docile workforce that can be underpaid and exploited due to the threat of discovery and deportation, it is definitely in American corporate interests to ensure that government never enacts policy about border crossings that is effective.

Given how long this 'problem' has been going on for and how the cost structure of the minimum wage, illegal immigrant worker, has embedded itself into the profitability of many corporates across the agricultural and service industries, I would be very surprised if any real attempt to stop the flow of cheap labour into the US is ever enacted.

No one's buying this cockamamie story.

Pretty lame see-through attempt to shut people up.

Exactly. The investment pays dividends in the form of lazy politicians for decades.
