That's the first link I found. Honestly, there are far worse things that Bush has done than this, so it's hardly a central point of mine in any case. I only mentioned it in passing.
Bush didn't do that; Congress did. It's not something that started with Bush; it's something people in Congress have been trying to do for a while.

GRANNY.
As discussed previously, it gives people in well-regulated militias the right to bear arms.

Guns. Army people like guns. Army people that have left the army, or are perhaps on holiday still like guns.

Guns.

No it does not! It gives the INDIVIDUAL the right to own a gun. The whole militia crap is a thing of the past. Supreme Court just said so!

You should spend some time in the military, in combat, and then tell me how much YOU would love guns (the way they are used in the military).
My combat vet friends only have a gun for self defense or hunting.

What about the ones that spent time in the army and didn't see action? Might be quite hard to come by in the States at the moment, but in the future? Who knows.

You don't watch the History Channel (Mail Call, hosted by Gunny from Full Metal Jacket) or Military Channel (Future Weapons, hosted by some Special Forces guy) I guess.

Only in a 5-4 partisan decision.

I personally believe that law-abiding citizens should have an individual right to own guns, but that's a separate issue from what the Second Amendment actually says. It's judicial activism to interpret it to give rights which it was never intended to.
