...for baby boomers. The June 2008 issue of Vanity Fair is on newsstands and gracing the cover is '60s icon Bobby Kennedy who's still dead some 40 years later. Why do baby boomers think every day is '60s day?

I don't know, but I really hope they'd hurry up and die already. Everybody's worried about the economic strain of their retirement, but I'm just afraid of what their going to do with all that extra time on their hands. If they have an 65-and-older-love-in at the park across the street, I'm moving.

They're in numbers.
It's democracy (and demography... and soon gerontology) at works.

I wasn't born in the 60's .... my brother was and he is a whiny butt liberal who thinks the world owes him something.

Besides, I been a conservative pragmatist since I was 15 or so .... I credit my Dad for that, he was a yellow dog Democrat and bought into the lie that the liberals and Democrats really cared about the working guy ....

The men and women who fought World War II have come to be known as "The Greatest Generation." I think that the generation that was college age during the '60s will come to be known as either "The Most Selfish Generation," or "The Most Self-Absorbed Generation." In honor of these fine men and women, I'd like to say: Move along! Your politics, movies, music and hippie-youth-turned-geezer culture are tired and lame. Like, the '60s ended 40-something years ago, man.

See, that's what makes them the Greatest Generation -- they were called, they answered, they didn't complain or feel sorry for themselves, and when they came home, they started families, went to college, went to work or built businesses and presided over the greatest expansion of wealth, liberty and freedom and our country has ever seen. Unfortunately, in their desire to spare their children from the horrors they experienced in the War, they over-indulged them and bequeathed us the Most Selfish Generation.

The race is long and Obama is so simple and vague and inexperienced. Anything could happen between now and then.

they answered allright--they blindly followed whatever their leaders ordered them to do, and marched to their death in droves, like lemmings to the sea. Thank God we have evolved from that kind of "My country, Right or Wrong" mentality. It still awes me that virtually NONE of those men stood up and said "Wait a second here, I'm supposed to put MY life on hold just because a guy in a wheelchair and a bunch of old white guys in Congress want ME to go fight THEIR war?" Was it mass hysteria, or something in the water? Or was it mass suggestion under hypnosis? I just don't know.
