That's a riddle? I think it's perfectly clear.
Bigov purchases medicines and pays for medical care/services. The doctors aren't slaves, the taxpayers are
So We, We We We,,,,,,,,(oh lord, I've lost him)....We purchase medicines and pay the doctors, nurses, lab technicians, the guy who holds the colonoscopy do-do tubes. THEY work for US, they work for ,,,you guessed it ...the government!!!! We are the Government.
So, that means all the med profession works for the government, which is ...US!! SO,,They are our slaves, like those in the cotton fields. They do what we tell them to do, and they are of course on a salary, etc etc. If they do not, we fire them, and then we have less doctors.
Well' I'll be durned, as my granny would say.
Next topic, please.
@Earl-of-Trumps saidSo, the army, the police and the fire brigade should be financed through unforced taxation?
Suzi,
You do not think that forced taxation is slavery, so I wouldn't expect you to get it.

The basics have to be covered? WE (?) have to find middle ground? Is that you Mandami.

One has to find rhe middle ground? Surely you don't want another analogy.l
The OP itself is rambling nonsense.
@shavixmir
If we had been born and raised in such a system we surely would have the kinks worked put by now.
@Earl-of-Trumps saidWe were born and raised in this system, and yeah, most of the kinks ARE out.

Look at your boss, railing against mail-in voting while mailing in HIS vote.
@AverageJoe1 saidWell, you're clearly getting quite het - up about this, so I'll have a go at responding, so in no particular order: First let me be clear; it is not I who says that taxation is evil. I was born and raised in the UK, where I received an education and health care, (back in the day, you could actually get to see a doctor) paid for by taxation. I now live in Indonesia, and since I retired from my work here, my income is entirely from the UK, upon which I pay UK tax, from which I receive no benefit, and never will, but which I'm happy to pay, so that others will benefit as I did; I suppose giving something back for something which is received is the principle behind it.

I don't know where this notion comes from that people employed by the government are 'slaves', or are 'owned' by the government, they aren't, they're just, you know, people who work for the government, be they doctors, civil servants, train drivers or whatever. It's a reasonably secure career path, which some people choose to follow, and for which they get paid a salary.
Healthcare can be free, at the point of treatment, because it's paid for by taxation.
What I mean by the 'middle ground' is not letting capitalism or socialism manifest in either extreme.
And by the way, if you want analogy, I don't want want to make more money, I'm content with the money I have. It's a personal thing, but I see no point in being or wanting to be a millionaire, or a multi - millionaire, or a billionaire....For me money serves only one purpose, which is to convert said money into experiences, and to have enough money to eat well and live well, which I do. Anything beyond that is just numbers on a computer screen, which serve no purpose, so let someone else have it who needs it.
Let's end with a couple of cliches; money doesn't make you happy, and the best things in life are free. There you go, bit of a personal insight to be going on with, which I hope provides some clarification.

AI Overview
Based on 2026 data, the average salary for a doctor in Indonesia is approximately IDR 4.75 million to 10.88 million monthly, which converts to roughly $300 – $700 USD per month or about $3,600 – $8,400 USD annually.
NOrE: The average annual salary of the Indonesian Citizens!?!?!?!? $6,000..00. Nearly the same. Weird. A physician makes very little more than the common man???
You can go whiny lib on me, talk about how people 'don't need to make so much money', being the hundreds of thousands that doctors make in the USA. But that is what our doctors make, because they are free to make and pocket all they can, maybe buy a home in Switzerland (NOT Indonesia).
However,, follow me here. IF the doctors here were NOT free to make what they want to make, they would. be subject to the whims and directives and dictates (ouch..) of your goverment. The government pays them......BUT, in the USA, The People pay the doctors.
So, our doctors are free to practice,; your doctors are slaves at IDR 4.7 million to 10.7 million annually. Slaves, man. They could coem here and make $250annual easily.
Why don't you respond just to this, I saw it in your post and it stopped me dead in my tracks.
As to 'giving something back" , I pay just over 50% of my income in taxes, a lot of which i s'Giving Something Back".
And, are you daft, to say "Healthcare is free, becaue it's paid for by taxation!?!?!?!??"
I dont mean to discount your nice comments, money does not make your happy, the best things in life are free. I am wrrign about the govt in indonesia apparently enslaves physicians. Prove me wrong.
@Earl-of-Trumps saidI was talking about voting, and I thought you were replying to me.

All these people on the right here have this fantasy that they are paying for benefits you get.
