Moreover, the FDA guidance specifically states:

"Never use medications intended for animals on yourself or other people. Animal ivermectin products are very different from those approved for humans. Use of animal ivermectin for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in humans is dangerous."

That warning was because:

"However, the FDA has received multiple ...[text shortened]... ermectin-treat-or-prevent-covid-19

So those who read the full guidance were not "mislead" at all.
Irrelevant!

Joe Rogan did not take horse dewormer. Furthermore, if the FDA did not make it so difficult for people to get it prescribed nobody would have taken horse dewormer. They created the problem!

Again with the "lying" BS.

I said the OP (that means "opening post"😉 was incorrect which it was.
Stop lying!

You claimed a I said the FDA said it was not approved for use by people. I never said that anywhere on this thread, including my OP.

STOP LYING!

The FDA is not responsible for the actions of idiots. Doctors were always free to prescribe ivermectin for COVID treatment if they wanted to and the FDA doesn't have to change their recommendations because most responsible doctors were following them.

You wrote:

That is a lie. The FDA guidance specifically stated it was "approved for people".

I wrote in response:

" The FDA never said ivermectin wasn't "approved for people".

Your inevitable claims that anyone who disagrees with you are "lying" doesn't change that.

"Doctors were always free to prescribe ivermectin for COVID treatment"

That does not mean the prescriptions were filled and you know it.
People were denied medication that costed pennies per pill so some resorted to animal medication. It was an FDA caused problem. Ivermectin is safer that Tylenol.

The FDA called it horse paste instead of a human approved medication. That was to mislead people. Ivermectin is approved for people to use and has been for decades. NOBODY would be taking horse paste if they could get it prescribed.

It was an FDA caused problem. They made the pills too difficult to obtain and since it is safer than Tylenol what is their excuse?

@no1marauder said
Your statements are, as usual, untrue. The FDA never said ivermectin wasn't "approved for people". Doctors were not required to ignore the FDA recommendation though the ones who filed the lawsuit did.
I NEVER claimed they did.
STOP LYING!

@metal-brain said
The horse paste comment was misleading. The FDA approved ivermectin for human use. The only reason people were taking horse paste is because they could not get it from a doctor. So the FDA caused the problem they complained about and used it as a propaganda tool to convince people it was not approved for people when it was.
See? I said misleading!

Show where the FDA said it was "horse paste". Your links only claimed that someone on CNN did in describing what Joe Rogan took.

Again, CNN is not the FDA.

Read the FDA guidance and you'll know what the FDA's reasons for recommending it not be used to treat COVID are. Again, they are under no obligation to change their recommendations because most reasonable physicians are following them.

You said the FDA tried "to convince people it was not approved for people."

So who's "lying"?

Your attempts at backpedaling are amusing though your false claims that someone else is "lying" (made in virtually every thread you post in) are not.

Doctors are free to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID-19, a lawyer representing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said this week.

“FDA explicitly recognizes that doctors do have the authority to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID,” Ashley Cheung Honold, a Department of Justice lawyer representing the FDA, said during oral arguments on Aug. 8 in the U.S ...[text shortened]... e gene vaccine anymore and Bill Gates sold his Pfizer stock shares your doctor can prescribe it now.
So what was the "bombshell", exactly?

From the link in my OP:

Dr. Marik has noted that a number of studies support using ivermectin against COVID-19, as the FDA itself has acknowledged. Some other studies show little to no effect.

Federal law enables the FDA to provide information, such as reports of adverse reactions to drugs, but not medical advice, Mr. Kelson said.

“This is something the FDA has never been able to do. And it’s a bright line,” he told the court, adding later:

“The clearest examples of where they have gone over the line are when they say things like, ‘You are not a horse, you are not a cow. Seriously, y’all. Stop it.'”

Once again, the FDA created the problem.

Did I not say they were trying to mislead people in the same post? Convince by misleading people, not lying. I never said they lied about it, but they did create the problem they complained about. Ivermectin is very safe and there is no credible excuse to not fill the prescriptions.

Again, show me where it did so. Your post was non-responsive.
