Was discussing this in another un-related post and was wondering of what others peoples opinions were.

Rightly or wrongly, if you have girls like Paris Hilton being famous for being a sl*t, Jessica Simpson being famous for being a ditzy sl*t, J-Lo being famous for having a big @rse, Mariah Carey famous for no reason i can think of, then I’m sad to say that i think modern interpretations of young females are as sext toys. Especially when the culture among young girls these days seems to be "you’re popular if you're easy". I was trying to think of one role-model young girls look up to who is not some sort of sex symbol but couldn’t.

Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders is 53 years young and a role model for a lot of woman in music and fans.

yes kelly holmes is, but the way the athletics training and facilities are going there wont be much success in that field in the near future. I also dont think many young women will want to get into sailing to be honest but what she did was a great achievement 🙂

She's the best female chess player in the world. Her two sisters are also highly ranked IMs (I think?).
