@divegeester removed their quoted postHey, its a model Islamic State. Are you Islamophobic?
Trump should buy some tickets for all LGBTQ++ people in America and send them off to see, free of charge, all expenses paid trip to see some football. They would enjoy the welcome there.
Seriously no beer or pork ? Personally I wont go there if they paid me.
@divegeester removed their quoted postLol .. I dont even know, but thats one apparently derogatory name they call me when I say bad things about Islam.
@divegeester removed their quoted postya, Americans only do that to Health care CEO's, people running for president and dudes on subways who are annoying...
@Earl-of-Trumps saidPeople go to watch nights, people will go to the world cup. Probably they'll introduce fan zones where alcohol is allowed and a pint is $25. Didn't Qatar do something similar?
you can't drink, you can't get laid, and they expect people to go?
yeah, right
I understand Saudi getting the world cup, they've been pumping billions into sport recently and can build the stadiums and infrastructure needed. Money talks. Similar to Qatar, actually arguably Qatar was a worst pick.
2030 on the other hand. 3 matches in south America before Spain, Portugal and Morocco host the rest of the tournament. That's just daft.
@diver removed their quoted postI don't pay any attention to their views on this non-football related. There was talk though of Neville going into politics which I found quite funny.
World cup in Mexico, US and Canada is another mad one. Imagine playing your last group game in Mexico city then having to travel 2000 odd miles to Toronto for the last 32.
Then there's the world club cup. FIFA have proven time and time again that they just care about money. as long as the 'fans' keep buying tickets, nothing will change.

I don't know how they do it in Europe, but in US sports, it's absolutely routine for teams to travel much longer distances between games. In post-season series' between east coast and west coast teams, there are times when game 4 could be in Seattle, game 5 in New York, game 6 in Seattle and game 7 in New York.
In this year's Stanley Cup final, games 4 and 6 were in Edmonton and games 5 and 7 in Miami.
Do European teams never fly between games?
@sh76 saidAre you trying to compare a two team 7 game series with a football world cup?

It's really not comparable. The Stanley cup was played with the same two teams and the same travelling. The world cup is not. Plus the rest days are also the same in the Stanley cup, and world series and NBA final and the superbowl. The world cup can have varying rest days. With a world cup in Mexico, USA and Canada it's possible for one team to play in Mexico then have to travel to Canada on 3 days rest to play a team who played their last match in NY and had 5 days rest.
Understand now why it's ridiculous?
