Trump was NOT informed of the nature and cause of the accusation against him.
I thought maybe you'd want to see an example of why this will go to an Appeals Court.
There is a plethora of reasons for the appeal. So many that the Appeals Judgfes will be perplexed for several years while Trump cleans up Biden's mess.

Notice of accusation
Main article: Notice
A criminal defendant has the right to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation against them. Therefore, an indictment must allege all the ingredients of the crime to such a degree of precision that it would allow the accused to assert double jeopardy if the same charges are brought up in subsequent prosecution.[12] The Supreme Court held in United States v. Carll, 105 U.S. 611 (1881), that "in an indictment ... it is not sufficient to set forth the offense in the words of the statute, unless those words of themselves fully, directly, and expressly, without any uncertainty or ambiguity, set forth all the elements necessary to constitute the offense intended to be punished." Vague wording, even if taken directly from a statute, does not suffice. However, the government is not required to hand over written copies of the indictment free of charge.[13]

The 6th and 7th amendments require a 100% unanimous verdict on the actual charge. There has been Merchan Magic applied, setting out that there are exceptions (underlying crimes, was it done on a Tuesday, was there background noise, whatever....could be anything). He is trying to override the final word of the jury,,,,,,,that, we find (guilty or not guilty) on the charge of _____________.
This is extremely unbelievable, but hell, the more reversible errors, the better for our side.

Stop it already with this right-wing gaslighting.

God damn, you’re pissing me off.

trump is a narcissiatic nutter and it’s better for society (and the world) that he’s behind bars, and not out flirting with his daughter, grabbing pussy, changing weather maps, snorting bleach, insulting war heroes, rimming dictators, liking nazis, etc. etc. Ad infinitum; ad nauseum.

There are charges. Everything has been done in plain sight of everyone.

Get over it.

Yes, quite. 80M people and Sonhouse feel the same way,,,,and Judge Merchan.

But this issue, (libs never get issues) is to show forum members an example of what will be brought up to the appeals court. I did it nicely, I even did a 'link' like Marauder does. Nothing personal, as libs do in their posts.
And just saying there are charges just doesn't get it. What crime was he charged with? When? Had you seen that list of 3 before yesterday? It did not exist, don't you see. I assure you that his lawyers had no clear crime from Bragg.
Since it is a simple fact, a rule in the law, how is that you become upset.?

PS: So we should not be offended by your posts, but you are offended by ours?

That stopped less than average Joe 0.5 dead in his tracks. I think he is still in shock, and will have to figure out how to move the goalpost from his statement he will not vote for Trump ''If he is convicted of a crime'' which is a quote.
Now he has no choice but move the goalpost something like this:

"He is not convicted till it gets to SCOTUS and THEY will reverse it, so I can vote for Trump after all''

Because you deny reality.

But hey, be my guest. I don’t really care.
Enjoy your bubble of ignorance.

It is certain that Trump will appeal until he runs out of appeals, and he will stall and prolongue process as long as possible.

It is also quite certain, that if not he at least his legal team was very aware of the nature of the accustaions.
I was and I am not big into US politics or law schemes.
Since Trump is a self-declared "tsable genius" he should have known.

Also as a person well-known to pull all appeals even very long shot ones he would have appleaed against a "hidden charge".

Joe if you know, he knows much better than you. But maybe you know, what he thinks you should believe?

Guilty of falsifying business records. Yes the indictment was a sham and the conviction but it means NOTHING. I heard a podcast yesterday where they cold called 10 people. All 10 said that they really had not been following the trial. All 10 said that the conviction did NOT change their mind on who they were voting for in the election. 7 were for Trump and 3 for Kennedy. NOT 1 for Biden. It seems that the American public as a whole ( NOT the members of this forum ) have had enough of Joe Biden.

And yet minds are being changed. They interviewed some Pennsylvania Republicans who may move over to Biden.

How wrong you are! Trump was informed of the nature and cause of the accusation against him, both in writing and verbally multiple times. In the summons, in the charging documents, in the court stenographers' notes, in the Judges verbal instructions to the defense table in court just to name a few.

Joe - It's better to keep silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt! 😳

There are 3 more pending criminal trials with trump as defendant. This was the weakest case of the 4.

I disagree; on the facts, only the classified documents case is stronger.

What about the phone calls, calls plural, by Trump, I just need to find 11780 votes, from his own lips AND recorded for everyone to hear? That is not strong evidence of intent?
