Speaking of which, what do you think of the United States taking home 46 gold medals?

    Pretty awesome, huh?

They only won because China's too poor to play, for reasons unable to be backed with stats or support of any kind.

That's great!! Let's all celebrate the rise of religiously inspired garments and let's all pretend that it is a "choice" that women make and let's all be happy that this garbage that was tossed away by modern western societies many years ago is making a comeback, because cultures that are clearly years and years behind ours are good at waving swords.

Three hoorays for the totally not disruptive influence yet another backwards religion has on the world!

    Hooray!
    Hooray!

A few months ago, I created a thread about this black American Muslim female athlete.

At the 2016 Summer Olympics, in the women's 57 kg taekwondo event, the bronze medals
were won by Muslim women competing in hijab: Kimia Alizadeh (Iran) and Hedaya Malak (Egypt).
Some women in hijab know how to fight well (perhaps better than bigots who hate them).

At the 1996 Olympics (in the USA), Ghada Shouaa (a Syrian who now lives in Germany)
won the gold medal in the heptathlon, thus becoming known as the world's greatest woman athlete.
She's not the first Arab Muslim woman to win an Olympic gold medal. At the 1984 Olympcs,
Nawal El Moutawakel (Morocco) won the gold medal in the women's 400 meter hurdles
(albeit in the absence of competitors from the USSR and eastern Europe).

The bigot Phil3000 may prefer to cling to his ignorant stereotypes about all Muslim women.
But some Muslim women have proven that they can run, jump, throw, or fight about as well as any other women.

Given his long record of fierce anti-Muslim bigotry (including objecting to children being
named 'Mohammed' in the UK), it's funny to see Phil3000 gloating about Great Britain's
2016 Olympic performance, which depended in part upon the feats of Mo Farah, a black
Muslim immigrant from Somalia (who lives and trains in the USA), who won two gold medals.
(Yes, 'Mo' is short for 'Mohamed', not 'Moses'!)

In a thread long before the 2016 Olympics, I challenged Phil3000 to acknowledge that
Mo Farah could be really British, and Phil3000 refused to do so. As far as I could infer,
Phil3000 wished to believe that Mo Farah was *not* really British and should not be able
to live in the UK. (No worries, Mo Farah prefers to live outside the UK.) So Phil3000 seems
to accept Mo Farah as British only when it's useful for his jingoistic Olympic propaganda.

Many, though not all, Muslim women choose to wear hijab. It's amazing how the simple
act of wearing something different is enough to dehumanize these women completely
in the bigoted perceptions of haters like Phil3000 and many others in this forum.
Does the woman underneath become different if she wears hijab rather than a short skirt?

At the Olympics, some Muslim women have won medals while wearing hijab and some while not wearing hijab.
Unfortunately, some Muslim women swimmers have no realistic hope of winning because
their authorities require them to wear hijab swimsuits with excessive drag in the water.

So Kquinn909 really believes that his cherished ignorant stereotypes must be true!
'Any day'? Would Kquinn909 like to bet his life savings that a Muslim woman *never*
has been able to defeat Kimberly Rhode (USA) in an Olympic shooting event?
In fact, it has happened TWICE.

In fact, at the 2000 Olympics, Zemfira Meftahatdinova (Azerbaijan, a predominantly Muslim
society) won the gold medal in women's skeet shooting, ahead of Kimberly Rhode (7th place).
At the 2004 Olympics, she won the bronze medal, again ahead of Kimberly Rhode (5th place).
She also has won two gold medals in skeet shooting at the world championships.

Contrary to Kquinn909's prejudice, some Muslim women can shoot well enough to kill their haters.
At least one Muslim woman also has twice shot better than Kimberly Rhode at the Olympics.

Will Kquinn909 now be ready to write a check to a charity of my choice?
